CONTENT AND GOALS
To join our team in the SAP Legal Department, we are looking for a fully qualified lawyer who already has several years of experience in the areas of IT and software law, especially in advising on product development and regulatory requirements.
The field of activity includes legal support of various business units of SAP in the area of product development. At the center of the job is a "one legal stop" concept for SAP cloud development units to support their development and commercialization efforts and foster regulatory compliance. Goal is to collaborate with the SAP cloud development units as a business partner, also their management to provide proactive legal support. Cooperation with other units of the SAP legal department is particularly important in relation to regulatory requirements which need to be implemented by the SAP cloud development units. In this regard, cooperation with SAP Data Protection and SAP Security is crucial. Proactive communication and exchange with the client is at the heart of the job, as well as constant and close consultation with other teams in the SAP Legal Department.
TASKS
Main responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive legal advice for the cloud product development.
- Being "THE point of contact" for SAP cloud development units for all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Internal networking and collaboration with the different teams of the SAP Legal Department (IRO - Integrated Regulatory Office, Technology Law and Standards & Regulatory Tooling) in order to provide consistent legal advice.
- Collaborating (as part of the SAP Legal Department) with SAP Data Protection, Audit and Security to ensure regulatory compliance of SAP cloud products.
- Drafting of SAP standard agreements.
- Drafting and negotiating cooperation agreements with third parties.
- Collaboration with SAP business owners on the creation of new business models.
- Creation and implementation of training on Legal topics.
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Fully qualified lawyer in one jurisdiction, bar admission.
- Good knowledge of IT Law and knowledge of software products and cloud services.
- Interest in learning new areas of work and law.
- Excellent communication skills and interest in interacting with clients.
- Fluent in English.
- Distinct ability to work in a team.
- Confident appearance and assertiveness.
- Goal-oriented and competent negotiation skills.
- Solution-oriented consulting skills.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of professional experience in a law firm in the field of IT law or in the legal department of an IT company.
