As part of the Digital Supply Chain Solution Management Organization and within the Digital Assets team, this role is responsible for the GTM and commercialisation of SAP’s Service Lifecycle Management solutions from Siemens working closely with Line of Business Sales, Pre-Sales, Industry, and Product teams. The role is global supporting all regions with North America and Western Europe being the priorities, therefore applicants can be based in major SAP locations that can support EMEA and NA.


Digital Assets Solution Management is responsible for the success of SAP’s Intelligent Asset Management suite. Solution managers are assigned solution ownership and this role will be responsible for the Siemens Teamcenter service engineering solutions SAP will re-sell as part of our recent partnership as well as supporting the related SAP solutions needed for Service Lifecycle Management.

In addition, your role will include positioning the end-to-end value proposition for asset management including solutions such as Asset Intelligence Network; Predictive Maintenance and Service; Asset Strategy and Performance Management; Asset Manager mobile as well as S/4HANA.


You should have strong industry and solution background in this area, with experience in asset and service intensive industries such as IM&C, O&G, Chemicals, or Utilities.  The ability to communicate well and present the value proposition of SAP’s solutions at events, and to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders will be important as will developing the virtual community of stakeholders for the solution. You should be prepared to work in a global environment, with virtual teams, associated travel, and working across time zones, particularly in America and Europe.  




Go-To-Market, Strategy, and Commercialization


  • Understand the market and customer requirements to jointly define our solution portfolio and innovation priorities short, medium and long term
  • Launch new solutions, including defining plans for communication and content and defining the commercialisation / pricing approach
  • Define and execute a GTM plan focusing on revenue, pipeline, and adoption goals


Customer engagement activities and deal support


  • Working with the field on deals, demand generation, and directly with customers to drive solution adoption
  • Support co-innovation groups with our product development colleagues
  • Attend events and presenting SAP’s value propositions and solutions
  • Work with customers to build multi-year digital transformation roadmaps in the area of EAM



Community and Thought leadership


  • Promote networking within the community of stakeholders for the solution, including direct engagement with field sales colleagues, industry teams, product management and partners
  • Act as the ‘go-to’ leader for your solution

Role Requirements

You will need:


  • Minimum 5 years in maintenance and service intensive business processes and relevant solutions
  • Background in sectors such as Process Industries, Utilities, Discrete, and Consumer Manufacturing.
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter or similar solution
  • Knowledge of complex sales processes and tactics for success
  • Experience in Demand Generation initiatives with a good understanding of approaches for successful Business Development
  • Excellent organizational and program management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed deadlines and a track record of achieving personal targets
  • A self-starter, with energy and drive and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex matrix environment with virtual teams of high-level professionals
  • A consensus-builder and capable of utilizing his/her strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills to successfully interact with SAP stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to work in a multinational environment and willingness to travel within EMEA
  • 5-10 years of experience in Consulting, Pre-Sales or Business Development type roles or a background working in Enterprise Asset Management Space for an operator/manufacturer
  • Knowledge of SAP portfolio and operating procedures would be an asset


  • Strong communication skills including writing and content development in English
  • Other Languages may be helpful but not essential
