Your job as the Solution Advisor on the National Practice team focusing on S/4HANA Public Cloud will put you in front of executives from some of the most influential companies across North America and help those customers see how SAP solutions can meet their challenges compared to the competition and advise them as a trusted advisor.  The Principal Solution Advisor possesses advanced/expert level knowledge of SAP S4HANA Public Cloud and partner software solutions that support business processes within our customer’s business operations.  The ideal candidate will have solution knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solution in any of the business process areas of ERP including finance, procurement, order management, etc .  Secondary knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition is also beneficial.   You will also be responsible for being a peer champion to other Solution Advisors and help develop and lead a ‘community of practice’ for S/4HANA Public Cloud within the N America Solution Advisory organization.

 

Opportunity Support

  • This role will primarily support the S4/HANA Public Cloud solution portfolio, and the selected individual will be expected to focus on deal support across the Market Units for their primary solution area as well as taking an active player/coach role on 2 Tier opportunities.
  • Compose and deliver superior sales presentations covering SAP and partner software solutions to prospective customer audiences. The presentations must articulate the sales message, differentiate SAP, and leave a strong and positive impression to various types audiences which can include technical architects as well as senior company executives. 
  • Prepare and deliver value-based software demonstrations/presentations in support of sales cycles. Preparation includes personalization of materials to ensure delivery of a simple, appealing, and compelling customer presentation.
  • In advance of a demonstration or key presentation, conduct discovery sessions with representatives from the prospective customer to build relationships with the customer and understand their specific needs.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and PCE solutions and appropriate industries to maintain credibility with prospective customers. Provide proof points with relevant customer stories.
  • Able to lead as a Solution Captain when deals require complex solutions and require multiple Solution Advisory participates to support a successful customer presentations or demos.
  • Participate in account strategy sessions to help drive effective sales strategies.
  • Participate/Support/Manage Proof of Concepts to successful completion.
  • Support RFx completion in support of customer proposals.
  • Ability to effectively present to customers “remotely” using virtual technologies.
  • Support one-to-many sales and marketing events both on-site and remotely.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify whitespace opportunities within accounts.

 

Strategic Internal Tasks

  • Serve as a National Champion and leader to other Solution Advisors in knowledge transfer and best practices for supporting S4/HANA Public Cloud Opportunities to scale to support demand.
  • Participate in demo system design and planning and assist in configuration if needed. Participate in new product release input and testing and training of peers.
  • Participate or lead strategic internal Solution Advisory projects to support S4/HANA Public Cloud as well as in global initiatives and programs for S/4HANA Public Cloud
  • Have an appetite to acquire new knowledge, adapt to and contribute to fast innovating software business.
  • Grow and maintain a positive brand that drives deal engagement and customer success.

R      Required Skills

  • Knowledge of SAP ERP solutions preferably with S/4HANA Public Cloud.
  • Strong business process knowledge around lead to cash, procure to pay, record to report, and design to operate.
  • Business acumen, strong verbal and written communication skills, and experience in presenting technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience in creating, designing, and recording collateral such as value-based presentations & demonstrations, whiteboards, webinars, videos, podcasts etc.
  • Project management and self-management skills; ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, minimal supervision, and provide practical advice to clients
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills.

 

Experience & Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor equivalent: minimum requirement
  • 5+ years of presales or consulting experience
  • 3+ years of solution specialist (or equivalent customer facing) experience in areas appropriate to the role
  • Good knowledge/expertise of SAP solution portfolio
