What you'll do

The Senior Solution Sales Executive, Cloud-RISE is a proven expert in Cloud Sales. In this sales role, you are expected to drive the cloud selling motion, with some of SAP’s largest, most complex, and strategic customers, in partnership with our License Sales organization, and are expected to meet and exceed Region-based financial expectations.


The Senior Solution Sales Executive, Cloud-RISE is a critical team member who is tasked with liaising with Sales, Center of Excellence (COE), Value Added Team (VAT), and the customer to bring deals to closure. The Senior Solution Sales Executive, Cloud-RISE will be familiar with, and comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment, partnering with North American strategic sales teams to pursue opportunities. This role is consultative and understands the challenges customers are facing. This role will clearly articulate SAP's strategy through the delivery of our value prop while highlighting the value realization to the customer by moving to SAP’s Cloud solution; showcasing tangible business benefits. The Senior Solution Sales Executive, Cloud-RISE leads value-add conversations at the Executive level (i.e., CXO) and can make a highly complex process seem simple.



  • Engage in identified strategic RISE opportunities and develop and drive strategy. 
  • Develop an opportunity plan containing the value proposition for SAP's Cloud ERP solution and services to potential customers & prospects in the territory.
  • Is adept at creating and nurturing senior executive relationships on their own, while positioning the SAP executive team. In that capacity:
  • Accurately represents the status of the team's deals, the risks, the obstacles, the compelling event, the customer’s buying process, the competition, and our differentiation. 
  • Provide a consistently high level of forecast accuracy.
  • Works to uncover and run large sales cycle-based opportunities as directed by the regional leadership. 
  • Leads efforts to establish, develop, and expand market share and revenue attainment within named accounts. 
  • Drive deals to closure.
  • Work with North America (NA) and Regional (Market Unit) MU Senior Leadership to close the most strategic RISE opportunities in the region.


What you bring

  • 8+ years of experience presenting business software and/or IT solutions (cloud sales experience preferred) 
  • Collaborative style and ability to work in a networked organization with virtual teams
  • Strong operational and analytical abilities
  • Experience selling cloud-based enterprise application solutions
  • Experience selling to CXOs 
  • Experience aligning technology solutions with desired business outcomes
  • Experience articulating the impact of technology on business drivers – financial, operational, and strategic
  • Experience and working knowledge of IaaS/PaaS/SaaS differentiators and providers (AWS, MSFT Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Salesforce, Oracle, IBM, etc.) preferred
