PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

With the introduction of Innovation and Operation Control Centers at customers linked to Mission Control Centers at SAP we drive the implementation of best practice solutions and operations by our customers and support the platform adaptation of HANA and Mobile in the market.

 

The Centre of Expertise (CoE) within SAP Digital Business Services provides the expertise in application and technology areas to deliver high-end support to our Max-Attention, Active Embedded and Enterprise Support customers.

Our work is based on a holistic understanding of our customers’ business and a strong relationship to jointly improve IT & business operations and safeguard their implementation projects. As every customer is unique we provide an individual high quality support to them based on a value based delivery approach.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The CoE IT Planning team focuses on the top Max-Attention customers providing them conceptual and architectural guidance, typically during IT transformations.

 

As a Support Engineer your area of responsibility will include at least one of the following areas

• Landscape design

• Technology architecture and virtualization technologies

• Performance/Optimization/Scalability/Capacity evaluation

• Software Change Management Strategies

 

In this role you will be

• Leading project-based customer engagements

• Delivering Strategic architectural and IT Planning workshops to help customers’ decision making

 

As part of a global team you will be working closely with SAP Development and the global SAP Support Centres to support strategic customer initiatives. Business travel will be an essential part of this role.

 

SKILLS & WORK EXPERIENCE

• Experience in SAP technologies, including SAP NetWeaver components and SAP’s EIM portfolio

• Technical expertise in Performance Analysis and Optimization.

• Experience in working with customers in preferably project scenarios

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in one or more areas of SAP NetWeaver Technology, HANA, performance and scalability

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• The ideal candidate will have at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Science or Engineering.

• Ability to analyze complex problem situations and to develop solution approaches

• Strong communication skills – ability to work with senior executives of our customers

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks

• SAP HANA knowledge is preferred

• Ability to work with a diverse team of colleagues in various regions and from various backgrounds

• Fluent in English
