The Global Center of Expertise is a division of SAP’s Customer Success unit. Our mission is to deliver world-class services to support SAP’s premium-level customers under the umbrella of MaxAttention, Active Embedded, and Enterprise Support customers.

The Global COE provides a meticulous, strategic service to SAP’s largest customers operating on the most complex SAP landscapes. We interact with individuals at every level of the customer’s organization, from low-level managers to executives, in order to meet the customer’s needs. The role of a CoE team member is demanding and requires passionate individuals with the strongest technical expertise and excellent analytical and communication skills. The role is tasked with planning, architecting, analyzing, optimizing, and safeguarding our customers’ SAP solutions.

We provide essential services and mission critical support to help SAP customers realize their digital transformation agenda and ensure business continuity during solution implementations, oversee the smooth operation of SAP software and the optimal technical performance of all business processes. We identify product gaps, develop solutions to close gaps, and implement specific best practice operations scenarios based on SAP standards to help customers minimize the total cost of ownership of their solution. Additionally, we work with cutting edge technologies within the SAP Business Suite, SAP NetWeaver software solutions, and Cloud based applications and drive the development of necessary supportability features and support offerings.

We proactively engage our Premium Engagement and Enterprise Support customers using a holistic approach to analyze, understand, and define action plans for each one’s specific situation. We support our customers to increase the value of their SAP Solution by analyzing their system landscape and technical issues, their core business processes for all applications, and their system and application operation.

As part of a global team, we provide feedback to SAP Development and the Global Support Centers based on customer interactions to identify the appropriate solutions for our customers. We work closely with our development organization to guide improvements on business process efficiency and develop specific best practice operations scenarios for new technologies.

We also work with SAP Back Office and Mission Critical Support to resolve production down situations and manage escalations, report product issues to development organizations, and provide functional/technical expertise in escalation war rooms. We do so to ensure customer satisfaction and success, secure maintenance revenue, and protect the SAP brand.

We also develop concepts for innovations and best practices, create training material, and transfer knowledge to internal teams. This includes mentoring new team members on the processes, applications, and technologies of SAP Solutions. In the Global Center of Expertise, individuals have the opportunity to work on the cutting-edge of digital innovation with a variety of SAP products, including the latest in technologies in machine learning, big data, blockchain, and IoT.

The CoE NA Logistics Planning and Procurement team focuses on the top Max-Attention customers providing them conceptual and architectural guidance and helps in the Digital Transformation and Innovation.



  • Requirement gathering in process areas like SAP Procurement, materials management
  • Create the “to-be” technology footprint, develop solutions roadmap and phased implementation approach to achieve strategic business objectives within procurement solution.
  • Fulfill an expert’s role in customers’ adoption of SAP’s solutions portfolio, especially in areas of One procurement SAP S/4HANA Source to Pay, Procure to Pay, SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglass.
  • Transform requirements into detailed solution architecture deliverables for strategic initiatives within the assigned functional area
  • Work with Domain Architects (including Data, Infrastructure, Application and Security architects) to ensure that solution architecture aligns with system design guidelines and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Perform hands-on work related to system configuration etc. Document business requirements, Business process flows, functional specs and solution designs.
  • Lead de-escalation activities and perform root cause analysis of system landscape and technical issues in key engagements by providing SAP applications
  • Perform technical feasibility checks for new SAP implementation engagements and analyze planned technical architecture to ensure that it can support the expected load of business processes—in, for example, sizing or throughput—and SAP customers’ business requirements; and Verify solution compatibility of each software component during or after major technical implementation.



  • In Depth knowledge of Procurement with hands on exposure to ECC and S/4HANA system
  • 4+ years of experience in SAP Procurement/MM functionality
  • 2+ years of hands on experience in S/4HANA procurement or SAP Ariba process.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics process
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ideal candidate will have at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science or Engineering.
  • Knowledge of iRPA and Machine Learning would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in one or more programming languages (e.g. ABAP,oDATA, Java, C++).
