What you’ll do: Job Overview

 

The VP of BTP Monetization is accountable for consistently attaining Indirect BTP (Business Technology Platform) budget targets by setting the vision and strategy for the BTP Monetization team in North America and driving alignment across all SAP BTP supporting teams.  The VP leads the sales team responsible for growing Indirect BTP business by recruiting new partners and supporting existing ones to deliver innovative use cases around BTP, value to end customers and a clear monetization path for the partner and SAP.

The role will report to the Global BTP Monetization leader, and he/she will work closely with the supporting BTP teams within PES, as well as align with the NA BTP Sales Leadership, to ensure delivery of the Indirect BTP budget targets via a vibrant partner ecosystem in NA. 

The BTP Monetization team is comprised of sales experts that help partners monetize BTP through clear use cases and effective commercial strategies and will often be called upon to articulate the various commercial and GTM options that are available for the partners.

 

Responsibilities and Objectives:

 

  • Develop, measure, and monitor territory plans for the NA region to ensure indirect BTP growth in all channels across the team
  • Formulate strategies to achieve high Indirect BTP revenue growth rates across the indirect channel - VAR’s, Tech Adoption, and partners on the SAP Store
  • Formulate objectives and sales plays for the NA BTP Monetization team aligned with the global BTP partner strategy and mapped to the Indirect BTP growth targets in CY and CY+1
  • Delineate a strategy specific to Midmarket in coordination with the NA Midmarket organization
  • Collaborate with the NA regional BTP leadership to deliver on the Indirect BTP KPI’s, including budget attainment, pipeline build, # partners, # new IP projects, etc.
  • Develop strategies for the top partners in each category to expand the consumption of BTP and guide these partners to monetize their assets on BTP

 

What you bring: Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

 

  • Proven sales leader with passion for improving the client relationships and experience, and advancing a high-performance sales culture; a relationship builder who has worked diligently to preserve high customer/partner relationship
  • Leadership Skills and Operational Excellence - A team player with a proven ability to implement metrics-driven, process-based best practices and methodologies that result in scalable success 
  • People Manager and Mentor - Track record of managing a senior, multi-faceted team; ability to create processes that govern, guide, mentor, and inspire team members as well as peers.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant customer-facing experience, preferably including selling via indirect channels
  • Track record of over-achieving sales and pipeline growth goals, and implementing relevant go-to-market strategies to achieve these goals
  • Experience selling platform technologies is preferred
