  • Role can be based in either Melbourne, Brisbane, or Sydney locations.
  • We will prioritise applications currently residing in Australia given restricted visa availability related to Covid-19.


SAP Customer Experience (CX) is looking for a Presales Solution Engineer to work closely with the Australia and New Zealand Sales teams, providing in-depth technical knowledge and expertise. They will perform engaging business focused presentations as well as technical demonstrations of our ecommerce platform. The Presales Solution Engineer will be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.


SAP Commerce Cloud is a comprehensive yet flexible omnichannel platform for B2B and B2C companies. It offers a wide variety of functions that power commerce experiences across all channels and devices. A cloud-based solution that delivers secure, scalable, and intelligent ecommerce capability to any organisation.



  • Understand and communicate solution messaging at both business and technical level
  • Support account executives in development of proposals and RFI / RFP responses
  • Author and provide presentations both to decision making and influencer audiences
  • Present standard software demonstrations
  • Develop and present custom demonstrations based on prospective client requirements using JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XML.
  • Provide industry expertise and guidance to clients
  • Guide prospective clients to the merits and strengths of the SAP Commerce Cloud solution
  • Assist account executives in development of Target Account Selling strategies
  • Remain current in industry and technology trends
  • Organize communications between teams and external vendors to develop solutions



  • Engaging presentation skills with a focus on storytelling
  • Excellent verbal and written communications in order to lead and work as a team
  • Experience selling / positioning eCommerce solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple prospects and activities concurrently
  • Be innovative in your approach and use creative thinking to solve problems
  • Ability to develop and present custom demonstrations based on specific requirements using JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XML.
  • Highly motivated, persuasive, and success driven personality
  • Detail-oriented
  • A growth mindset with a drive to continually learn and improve



  • Proven track record in giving sales-oriented presentations to executive-level audiences
  • A broad understanding of Cloud Computing and eCommerce
  • Minimum 5+ years of sales, marketing, operations, and/or consulting experience in a software company or eCommerce company
  • Successful participation in sales cycles in a pre-sales/consulting role
  • University degree in a related field
  • Other enterprise resource planning systems (ERP)
  • Understanding of architectural & integration concepts
