PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES  

The SAP User Experience team defines how our users enjoy the interaction with our products. An intuitive and accessible operation across our product portfolio is a key priority for SAP. We are now looking for you as a passionate Assistive Technology Expert to join us in thriving for a best-in-class, inclusive enterprise UX. 

 

As an Assistive Technology Expert, you will be part of SAP’s central Accessibility team. We work closely with design and development teams across SAP to ensure our products are continuously optimized for accessibility needs. You will bring the latest assistive technology innovation into our product design process, being it as part of operating systems or assistive tools. You are curious about the latest evolution in technology support for people with disabilities combined with a deep understanding of inclusive design methodologies. You support our teams to enrich product capabilities with assistive technology considerations in an early stage. 

 

You enjoy your work and feel responsible for the topics you drive end-to-end. You can translate strategic discussions into tangible projects, goals, and initiatives for our users. Your working style is results-driven, self-driven, and well organized. We are looking for a team member who embraces people's uniqueness and has an inclusive mindset. You are curious to continuously broaden your horizon on learning, accessibility, and inclusive design trends. You will become part of an exciting team with a purpose-driven mission. 

 

WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Broad expertise in accessibility regulations like WCAG 
  • Experience in mobile accessibility features 
  • Excellent understanding of inclusive design principles and human interaction principles 
  • Verification of accessible designs through reviews, validations, and user testing 
  • Ability to work as a strong effective team player; committed to results and solutions oriented 
  • Strong attention to detail, producing quality output 
  • Superior organizational skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and follow-through on projects 
  • Outstanding service orientation 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and flexible in adapting and responding to changing situations 
  • Experience leading by influence 
  • Strong relationship building and management skills with key stakeholders 
  • Proven track record in the field of assistive technologies like screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, etc.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in design and development of accessible products 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar 
  • Strong communication skills in English
