About the Team: The Intelligent Enterprise Product and Market Strategy Team

The newly created team and competency with PE is tasked with defining, validating cross portfolio product strategy that brings to life the promise of the Intelligent Enterprise. With our market leading portfolio of applications, and cloud platform, we at SAP have the unique opportunity to create newly imagined category defining end to end process use cases borne out of intelligent combinations of our solutions, to deliver differentiated and transformation value for our customers. Our role is to identify these use cases, validate the market opportunity and orchestrate the delivery of these use cases. As a result, we fortify SAP’s position and heritage as the market maker of modern business process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for the overall program management, success, quality, cost management and delivery of a cross functional product, set of solutions, or partner integration opportunity.

Will also be responsible for driving external facing product messaging of solutions we design and help frame the market narrative for the Intelligent Enterprise that either you present or help our executives present to the market and to customers in sales opportunities. Will represent the product at major customer and SAP events to ensure that the product roadmap is clearly conveyed and results in revenue and adoption.

Building strong interaction across organizational boundaries.

 

Gain market & customer insight: Takes ownership of a business process and creates the business case where appropriate. Analyzes technology trends and customer requirements to translate market and customer business process needs into competitive products. Participates in annual planning cycles to develops a product vision and a differentiated cross portfolio product roadmap. Prepares and recommends make/buy decisions and/or partner engagements. Stays on top of competitive landscape across the product portfolio and is accountable for identifying how SAP differentiates by designing cross portfolio solutions that deliver on the Intelligent Enterprise promise we make to our customers.

 

Ensure overall value proposition and high-level product definition: Drives and ensures that the portfolio messaging meets customer understanding. Drives holistic product vision and product design support and ensures all product teams receive a comprehensive customer feedback, where market gaps are identified. Conducts periodic reviews of market comprehension and suggests and drives improvements to business process.

 

Ensure product delivery:  Accountable for (support) delivery of high-quality solution and a related rollout strategy for special projects, during implementation and GTM readiness. Accountable for coordinating and collecting end-to-end feedback from Customers and/or other relevant stakeholders.

Actively follows and shares developments and trends regarding new SAP and complimentary partner service and solution offerings, industry trends and other topic areas relevant for the respective domain.

 

Requirements:

Management consulting or product strategy and management experience

Engagement Management experience

Proven ability to present to senior executives (internal and customer)

Ability to take abstract data and technology trends and solutions, and present them to a business audience

Specific examples that show how you can collaborate and drive results in an influencer role

Ability to report progress and spot key risks and dependences that will impact project success

Ability to lead and mentor product and engagement managers
