SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain is the fastest growing SAP crown jewel cloud product with large enterprise customers yielding 225 Million EUR ACV. Built on SAP HANA in Palo Alto, California, it now has ~400 beautiful minds working on delivering innovations in the space of Digital Supply Chain Planning portfolio of SAP across Palo Alto (US), Montreal (CA), Pittsburg (US), Walldorf (DE), and Budapest (HU).

 

As a Development Expert, Supply Chain Planning User Interface for rich, adaptable, and responsive user interfaces purpose-built to ease complex supply chain planning processes, you will be responsible for development focusing on concept, design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of complex features in a scrum development team. To accomplish this, you will be defining and delivering deliverables, and providing advice and recommendations on solutions that affect future design decisions. You will be working on a product, built on SAP ABAP NetWeaver and SAP HANA with UI5-based user interfaces, offered as a cloud service, that is successful and has >1000 large enterprise customers who tremendously value stability, scalability, reliability, performance, usability, integration, and quality.

 

How You Might Contribute

  • Work independently on requirement analysis, technical concept, and design independently, or in close collaboration with architect and product owner.
  • Author, contribute to, and present detailed design specifications and lead reviews.
  • Drive simplicity and be a passionate problem solver pushing for better, faster, and simpler solutions addressing complex business requirements and technical challenges.
  • Define deliverables for the development team, lead or supervise actual development, and provide definitive advice for and interpretation of situations ensuring business critical results.
  • Adjudicate performance, usability, quality, supportability, and decide whether the feature is ready for general availability.
  • Harmoniously collaborate with cross-organizational teams. Effectively communicate with stakeholders including product owner, architect, developers, and customers. Manage escalations appropriately.
  • Manage projects of high value/volume/complexity/risk. Build strategic relationships, trust, and consensus with key decision makers.
  • Expert level and broad overall product and technical knowledge that is recognized internally and externally accompanied by desire to drive definition, design, and delivery of a product that you and your scrum team can be proud of and customers are delighted to use will be key.

 

A Successful Candidate Should

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise-grade user interfaces for complex business applications.
  • 4+ years of experience with defining and building usable, rich, responsive, adaptable, web-based user interfaces for flexible and complex planning processes.
  • Must have high proficiency in advanced JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and OData RESTful APIs.
  • Experience of OpenUI5 framework is preferred.
  • Ability to work with complex, conflicting, unclear business requirements.
  • Able to define deliveries with acceptable quality, release after release at the frequency of 4 releases per year.
