Purpose and Objective of Job: 

This position supports the communications activities for SAP’s Office of the CEO (oCEO) based in either NYC, Hudson Yards or Newtown Square, PA. He or she will work closely with the CEO’s Chief of Staff, customer office and the oCEO Communications team.


Expectations and Tasks of Job: 

  • Heavy focus on writing.
  • Produce and review content for the CEO of SAP, including customer communications and other important correspondence.
  • Consult the oCEO on global communications activities supporting employee engagements, media relations, university alliances and other speaking forums.


 Work Experience:

  • The Communications Manager for the oCEO must be an outstanding writer and consummate professional who is passionate about communications.
  •  This individual should be dynamic, energetic and a “roll up your sleeves” contributor. Relating well and having confidence with senior executives are absolutes – as is the ability to thrive in an environment with rapid change and a need for quick execution.
  • Should also have outstanding listening, verbal, written communication and process facilitation skills.
  • Must be collaborative in nature and capable of building consensus and strong working relationships within a matrixed organizational structure.


 Additional “must have” skills include:

  • Excellent writing abilities
  • A proven ability to effectively see projects/tasks through to implementation
  • Manage high-profile communications
  • Make sound judgments and produce compelling content quickly.
  • Previous exposure to executive communications preferred.


Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:

  • Undergraduate degree and at least 3 years of communications experience required.
  • Directly related global (multi-cultural) experience and knowledge of the software/technology infrastructure sector or a comparable sector preferred.
  • Experience facing complex, global internal/external communications issues required.
  • English language skills required.
