Purpose and Objective:

HanaHaus is looking for a talented and passionate Communications & Business Development Intern. This full-time position is based in Palo Alto and has a very strong customer and community-facing role. The successful candidate has the education, talent and communication skills to become an effective liaison between the startup ecosystem and the corporate environment in Silicon Valley. The candidate will grow to be a key leader and driver of growth,

  1. Representing HanaHaus during events and customer visits
  2. Becoming familiar with all areas of the HanaHaus business model
  3. Understanding the Silicon Valley innovation ecosystem
  4. Understanding how HanaHaus might create value for SAP
  5. Fulfilling HanaHaus business development and strategic initiatives

 

The primary responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

 

Community & Communications:

  • Building a collaborative community through events, personal introductions and engaging with internal and external stakeholders
  • Growing SAP’s network and presence in the entrepreneurial community of Silicon Valley
  • Sharing the HanaHaus story through keynote presentations to internal and external audiences as well as social media and blog posts

 

Customer Experience:

  • Delivering an authentic experience in the community for members, partners and stakeholders in SAP’s network
  • Communicating and coordinating with HanaHaus operations to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Analyzing and enhancing the customer experience by running quantitative and qualitative surveys

 

Business Development & Strategy

  • Evaluating and refining the HanaHaus strategy and HanaHaus’s role within SAP’s and Silicon Valley’s innovation ecosystem
  • Identifying growth opportunities through strategic partnerships and initiatives
  • Exploring the connection between HanaHaus and the Innovation Center Network strategy

 

Analytics:

  • Identifying patterns and trends in workspace utilization (e.g. retention rates, distribution of reservation duration etc.) to help identify business opportunities
  • Combining and synthesizing different data sources (utilization data, payment data, Wi-Fi usage, social media traffic, web analytics data) to generate insights
  • Evaluating content and marketing campaigns to increase reach and engagement based on social media analytics
  • Understanding the user flow on the website and the reservation system to improve UX design based on web analytics data

     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated business development experience and strong business acumen
  • Innovative thinker with ability to handle complexity, strong analytical mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new things quickly and grow into new roles
  • Willingness to work on a variety of topics including operational matters.
  • Enrolment in Master’s Degree or MBA preferred with some work experience (including internships), international experience is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
