SAP Business Technology Platform Customer Success Partner (West)

Summary & Role Information:

Our team is driven by the success of our customers! The focus of this position is to help our clients successfully adopt, consume and renew their investment in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Cloud solutions, including SAP Extensions (Application Development), Integration, Databases, Data Management and Analytics. SAP Business Technology Platform Customer Success Partners (BTP CSPs) work with the most cutting-edge and innovative SAP solutions and supports SAP’s most strategic SAP BTP Cloud customers.

 

Our CSP's are responsible for the day-to-day customer engagement from contract signature onwards. In this position, you will drive the experience of your customers around product onboarding, use-case identification, project initiation, architecture and governance coaching, project companionship, post-launch relationship management, and renewal negotiations.

 

In this role, you would drive value realization for our customers. You will proactively engage customer Architects and Business Decision Makers post-sale to ensure they get maximum value from their SAP BTP Cloud Solutions. You can understand the big picture and assist with escalations or critical situation management if and where needed. You will be the technical trusted advisor “Cloud Solution Architect” through providing BTP Architecture workshops, best practices, VIP webinars, and driving re-platforming discussions with Customers. You will focus on designing architectures that are a combination of hyperscaler and SAP BTP technology, explaining the merits of adopting SAP BTP instead of other competing platform technologies. You will provide input into the renewal process to ensure consumption scenarios are taken into consideration in contracting. You will use your relationship building skills to build a network of internal SAP colleagues (sales, pre-sales, consulting (both SAP and Partners), and product engineering) to support your assigned accounts.

Experience / Role Requirements:

You have technical Cloud Architecture experience.  You have broad technical architecture experience with hyperscaler cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP) and ideally SAP platform solutions such as BTP Extension Suite, Application Development (eg Business Application Studio), HANA Databases (Cloud), and Analytics Cloud Solutions. Ideally, you will also have some exposure to traditional SAP Line of Business solutions such as S4, Ariba, Concur, etc for integration, extension, and analytics scenarios. You can understand, explain, and draft Cloud Extension, Integration, and Data Architectures.

 

You will excel in this role if:

  • You have excellent communication (oral and written), presentation, program management, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 30% travel) and the ability to adapt to the unique business and cultural practices of each region/country. 
  • You have at least 5-10 years of experience working in the IT Industry. Your background could be Software Engineering, Development Management, Project/Product Management, Pre-sales, Customer Engagement, Customer Success, Preferred Care, Consulting, etc.
  • Understanding of one or more SAP BTP Solutions:
  • Professional knowledge in SAP BTP On-Premise Portfolio, e.g. HANA Databases, Data Warehouse, etc. and/or
  • Professional knowledge in SAP BTP Cloud Solution portfolio: SAP Cloud Platform, Cloud Databases, Data Warehouse Cloud, Analytics Cloud Solutions and/or
  • Professional knowledge of similar types of Hyperscaler SaaS/PaaS/IaaS Solutions (e.g. MS Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, etc.)
