Sustainability Program Manager - North America

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

This is an exciting and important role critical to the success of incubating SAP’s Sustainability business across North America and scaling it through LACE. The Program Manager will work together with the NA Sustainability Leader and Global team to position our Sustainability Portfolio as a key differentiator.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Sustainability Program Manager is responsible for delivering programmatic components of the Sustainability GTM.
  • Serves as an interlock between Regional COE of subject matter experts that support customer engagements focused on four themes of Zero Emissions, Zero inequality and Zero Waste and Holistic Steering and Reporting.
  • Collaborates with the Sustainability SWATs at the Regional and MU level to ensure delivery of customer engagement methodology and tracks learning for future iterations.
  • Manages a list of must win accounts for the leading portfolio (L1, L2) and strategic engagements of influenced revenue (L3) tracks and identifies roadblocks with the account team that need to be cleared by the Regional Sustainability Lead and Regional and / or MU leadership.
  • Documents customer references and stories. 
  • Collaborates with Global Sustainability PM as needed. 
  • Partners with Sales Learning and other enablement teams to ensures needs of the field are communicated to relevant stakeholders
  • Provides feedback on learning assets provided by Sales Learning and Global GTM leader.
  • Creates plan for delivering Enablement content created by the Global Sustainability GTM teams.
  • Enables the SWAT on the Sustainability Customer Engagement Methodology.
  • Participates on the Regional Sustainability Cadence Call and tracks workstreams.
  • Supports customer activity as needed by the Regional Sustainability Lead.
  • Responsible for maintaining KPI dashboard and reports for forecast calls.
  • Collaborates with marketing on demand generation activities and events.
  • Manages communications for the Regional Sustainability Office and DLs for all Sustainability SWATs.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Deep understanding of the Customer Success and related-SAP organizations
  • Knowledge of our sustainability portfolio, positioning and a passion for the topic
  • Experience leading and executing cross-team programs and/or events (including executive, employee, customer, partner stakeholders)
  • Proven ability to turn strategies into actionable plans, leveraging a matrixed organization to support the change 
  • Ability to mentor and manage team members to ensure driving to common purposes and goals  
  • Recognize and address any challenges/issues timely, meeting and/or exceeding expectations and managing risks
  • Strong execution capabilities with a can-do attitude: Personal conviction and energy
  • Collaborative and inspiring leadership style with peers, teams, colleagues, customers

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Industry Expertise
  • Master’s Degree Preferred
  • 10+ years of experience engaging with customers and organizations around sustainability 

 

EXPECTED TRAVEL

  • The role requires on-site presence with customers and account teams
