WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

TripLink is looking for a Backend Developer to help us build the next-generation microservices and API’s using cloud-first concepts and technologies including containerization, serverless architecture, and increased use of native AWS tools and services and best practices. You are organized, positive, creative, and focused on the user always You must be passionate about working with new technologies and solving difficult technical problems. Most importantly you should have a high degree of intellectual curiosity and a lack of fear for learning something new.

 

THE VALUE YOU DELIVER

  • Pro-actively identify ways to make the solution more robust, scalable, and user-friendly.
  • Work with fellow engineers to collaborate and share best practices, suggest innovations and improvements on architecture and processes.
  • Work closely with product owners and incorporate feedback from product management, interaction designers, and other engineering teams. 
  • Own cloud services end-to-end, delivering distributed systems using AWS native services and best practices such as infrastructure as code, zero-downtime production deployments, frequent deployments etc.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.
  • Fluency in a common engineering language: Typescript (preferred), Javascript, Kotlin, Java, Go, Scheme, C#, C++ or C.

 

DESIRED:

  • Understanding of functional programming techniques as well as writing unit and integration tests should also be considered a normal part of writing code.  
  • Experience delivering successful full-stack web application projects.
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as REST, OAUTH2, SAML, GraphQL etc.
  • Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and/or AWS primitives such as EC2, AMIs, EKS, Dynamo, Code Deploy, etc is preferred.
