The task of SAP.iO is to create those businesses, using SAP’s unique position and differentiated data sources to transform industries ranging from people management to security.

Purpose

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for defining target personas, finding key buyers and booking demos for the portfolio companies in SAP.iO Ventures. BDRs represent SAP.iO’s entire portfolio of new ventures and will have the opportunity to sell a variety of solutions in high growth markets.

During your time at SAP.iO, you will gain perspective on a variety of industries that consume enterprise technology and can develop sales pitches with cohesive value propositions for a wide variety of stakeholders.

The BDR will join a fast-growing team and help shape the way our sales organization and its culture develops. We need people who are driven, enthusiastic and passionate about working and progressing in a sales career.

Responsibilities

  • Build a target list of accounts and stakeholders using predefined criteria
  • Prospect into target organizations via cold-calling, networking, e-mail, social media, and digital marketing channels to encourage them to schedule an online demo
  • Prepare quarterly reporting documents for SAP.iO’s senior stakeholders
  • Articulate SAP.iO’s portfolio companies’ value propositions to decision-makers across multiple industries to assess buying interest with technical & business prospects
  • Record activities in CRM to track progress within key accounts
  • Contribute to sales enablement assets by providing customer feedback and key learnings from outreach

Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise software, sales, business development or sales development
  • Experience organizing and recording sales process data in CRM
  • High energy sales professional with the ability to quickly build rapport over phone & email
  • Strong work ethic and persistence to complete high volume cold-calling daily
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Location and Travel
The SAP.iO office is located in the South of Market area (SoMa) of San Francisco, California.  However, teams are located across the globe. As such, travel will be involved, but no more than 30%.
