As CRM Marketing Manager, you’ll create marketing programs that help travelers fall further in love with TripIt and TripIt Pro products to become loyal users. Responsible for developing and executing impactful e-mail marketing campaigns throughout each stage of the user's lifecycle, you will engage, educate, upsell, and retain TripIt and TripIt Pro customers.

 

You will be responsible for owning all elements of the email marketing channel to include campaign planning, segmentation, configuration of triggered email series, campaign quality control, data requests, testing, reporting/analysis and optimization. Your analytical mindset will glean insights from campaign and channel performance trends, and your creativity will translate these insights into actionable tactics. You will collaborate and work closely with internal teams (marketing, product, analytics, business development, advertising, engineering, and customer support) to launch impactful engagement marketing campaigns.

We are looking for a smart and energetic CRM Marketing Manager to strategize email campaigns and constantly look for new ways to increase user engagement, retention, and TripIt Pro revenue.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop email marketing strategy and execution to drive user engagement, retention, and upsell for TripIt and TripIt Pro
  • Explore new opportunities and channels to engage with users through each stage of the customer journey
  • Drive end-to-end execution of email campaigns, including creating the content, defining targeting, launching the campaign, and analyzing results
  • Design and perform A/B testing on multiple campaigns to continually improve campaign performance
  • Create content for email marketing, in-product messaging, and display ads, that align with our brand guidelines to educate users of the benefits of TripIt and TripIt Pro
  • Provide QA and perform testing before deployment on all emails for web browser and email client compatibility, as well as ensure all links, images, subject lines, and list segments are correct
  • Analyze TripIt customer lifecycle and identify opportunities to better engage with TripIt users
  • Track and provide detailed analysis of email marketing campaigns and engagement initiatives using email reports, Google Analytics, and Tableau
  • Coach team members on email marketing strategy to optimize engagement and drive revenue
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Creative, Marketing, Analytics, Business Development, Advertising, and Customer Support teams
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to contribute with other duties that will arise to accomplish business objectives

 

Education & Experience required:

  • BA or BS required; Marketing, Business, Communications, or Technology related studies
  • Minimum 4 years of experience including relevant email marketing, CRM, or other digital marketing strategy/execution experience

 

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:

  • Desire to succeed in a fast-paced environment with a lean team and willingness to pitch in on special projects as necessary
  • Experience with Silverpop, ExactTarget or other email marketing software provider
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, plus curiosity and enthusiasm to identify opportunities for analysis and optimization, and execute changes quickly.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and Tableau
  • SQL knowledge would also rock, but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong project management skills
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail while being highly organized and efficient with time management
  • Be able to work with teams cross-functionally and manage outside vendors
  • Some design skills would be awesome (not required)
  • Sense of humor and a passion for traveling
