We are looking for an experienced Product Leader to help lead Hipmunk’s core products and technical platforms across web, and mobile web, and mobile apps.

 

Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with a proven track record of building compelling consumer (B2C) and/or business (B2B2C) products on web and/or mobile. The position requires a self-starter who enjoys working with cross-functional and collaborative teams, has a strong analytical mind, strong technical experience, is a great contributor, and is passionate about consumer experiences and Hipmunk.  The individual will be responsible for planning, defining, and executing on a product and technical roadmap for multiple features on Hipmunk’s core product, across all platforms. Ideal candidate will be passionate about building technology-based services that achieve breakthrough business goals, and will be skilled at working closely with engineering to evaluate engineering security, stability, and scalability needs.

 

The Role:

  • Provide product direction and improve product strategy to accelerate business growth
  • Own product management for features/services of Hipmunk’s platform
  • Use fresh thinking to create new product plans in an established industry
  • Maintain feature/services roadmap based on the needs of application developers while incorporating on-going analysis of best in class platforms and strategy
  • Work with Engineering, Design, and Marketing to deliver innovative ideas and specifications.
  • Conduct and lead customer and user research
  • Conduct and lead data analysis
  • Present findings and business cases to the product management and the leadership team
     

Role Requirements: 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product management in consumer web or mobile products
  • Strong technical background
  • Ability to create product specifications and wireframes
  • Effective communications skills, focusing on composition and presentation of technical and business information
  • Strong project management skills and ability to present work to leadership team
  • Exceptional data analysis skills
  • Outstanding written/oral and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter, a team player, and driven
  • Ability to motivate a team, provide clear direction, and give insight on industry trends
