What you’ll do:

 

Position Title: Hipmunk/SAP Concur iXp Intern – Product Manager

Location: San Francisco, California

Expected start date to end date: June 10 ,2019 – August 16, 2019

 

In this role, you’ll:

 

We hire Product Management Interns who are passionate about solving problems and impacting millions of end users. We recognize that Intern contributions fuel some of our greatest innovations. That’s why we assign students to our toughest challenges and most forward-thinking projects. This summer, we are looking for an intern to:

 

  • Work directly with a cross-functional team (engineering, UX, product, marketing, and support) on projects focused on driving end-user adoption of Concur Hipmunk, SAP Concur’s small and medium sized business travel solution.
  • Evaluate opportunities to drive adoption as the end-user / traveler moves throughout their travel and expense lifecycle leveraging touchpoints on email, Hipmunk’s web, Android, and iOS apps as well as our tight integrations with Concur Expense and TripIt.
  • Develop detailed requirements and user stories for at least one new integration idea or new web/app feature.
  • Participate in Agile/scrum activities, from daily team standups and backlog grooming to sprint planning, as part of roadmap prioritization and execution.

 

 

Who you are:

 

  • Undergraduate student or MBA candidate. Technical experience preferred.  
  • A go-getter, excited to learn new things and willing to ask the questions you need to do that.
  • Ability to work closely with software engineers. We don’t expect you to code, but you must be comfortable enough to speak their language.
  • A passion for user experience, with strong instincts around design.  
  • Ability to write clear, concise business requirements.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You will be asked to present your project in front of an audience from time to time.
  • Experience or interest working on consumer applications, both web and mobile.
  • Willingness to work on both user-facing features and behind-the-scenes platform enhancements — maybe even at the same time.
