EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Reporting into the Chief Learning Officer, the SVP of Ecosystem Engagement will lead the teams responsible to energize and grow the ecosystem of SAP professionals and users, developing their skills to succeed in an increasingly dynamic world. As colleagues in SAP Learning seek to build world class learning experiences, the team is charged with leveraging those programs, content, and platforms to engage, upskill, and activate the more than 24 million people within SAP’s community. This executive will be driving the public facing activities most critical to build evangelism for the world’s most business-critical software company.

 

Tasks:

  • Drive strategy and execution to rebuild engagement across SAP’s ecosystem of more than 24 million professional users, consultants, and developers
  • Own SAP Learning’s release calendar, building programs, partnerships, and content release plans that energize and excite the SAP ecosystem
  • Orchestrate activities across marketing, product, and customer facing teams within SAP to reinforce community facing activities
  • Work with the leadership teams of each SAP Solution Area to define key target audiences, needs, and plans to deliver integrated learning and community programs (Enterprise Resource Planning, Human Experience Management, Customer Experience, Spend Management, Platform)
  • Create a single, high performing, team, with accountability for the strategic execution of programs that build skills and evangelism in the SAP ecosystem
  • Shift the focus of partner and developer learning towards the critical strategic capabilities required to embrace SAP’s cloud product portfolio

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Background in marketing, demand generation, community building, and enterprise software
  • Positive world view and general optimism about the future state of enterprise software
  • Strong execution focus & structured way of working to operationalize strategy into business capabilities and process vision​
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort in public facing settings (interviews, keynote presentations, etc.)
  • Good consumer intuition on the needs of developers, consultants, and IT professionals
  • Ability to drive and execute topics self-dependent and turn into action and tangible results
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills
  • Proven experience building and developing top talent within an organization 

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 15+ years of professional work experience in B2B and B2C technology business
  • 5+ years in technology marketing, with a preference for community centric businesses
  • Track record of conceptual as well as execution capabilities in cross-unit environment
  • International and cross-cultural working experience

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
