Concur Hipmunk is looking for a highly-skilled, motivated, and experienced DevSecOps Engineer to help navigate the transition from a leisure travel startup to a small – to medium-sized businesses travel product.

You will contribute and set standards for our AWS upgrade/migration efforts. You will work with the infrastructure and dev teams to maintain and grow robust automation across the build and deployment of software and data at Hipmunk. Having a strong sense of data privacy and security, you will contribute to maintaining a high level of security and data privacy across Hipmunk infrastructure environments.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Be able to set up infrastructure environments, leveraging an “infrastructure as code” approach. 
  • Support team’s AWS upgrade/migration efforts
  • Lead devops security topic by reviewing and implementing best practices and tools
  • Conduct audits/reviews of current infrastructure and provide efficient mitigation of security issues.
  • Improve and automate security monitoring and tasks
  • Contribute to the product’s security processes in areas such as incident response, disaster recovery plans, configuration management, etc.
  • Assure solution is built in consideration with PCI compliance requirements. 
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise and support in general devops tasks
  • Be a part of on-call PagerDuty rotations
  • Evangelize good security habits and secure development practices

 

Qualifications

  • Experience with IaC tools such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible 
  • Automation, usage, and management of Jenkins, HAProxy, Redis, ELK, PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Docker and configuring Continuous Integration (CI)  is a plus
  • Working knowledge of LDAP and AD 
  • Strong scripting experience with Python, bash, etc. 
  • Experience with Linux / Unix administration 
  • Experience with AWS. Solid knowledge of and experience with AWS Security & Encryption components such as IAM Policy, KMS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch and Alert Logic. AWS certified security engineers will receive maximum consideration. 
  • Experienced with SecOps processes i.e. event/ incident management 
  • Experience with Auditing and Compliance
  • Security certification such as OSCP, GPEN or similar certification a plus
  • Experience with shipping high-quality software in cloud environments 
  • 5+ years of devops experience 
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or related field
