We are looking for talents like you to join our SAP HANA Quality Assurance team!


The SAP HANA team develops a platform that performs parallel in-memory processing of huge data sets to offer extremely fast real-time responses for analytic queries. The platform also provides libraries for predictive, planning, text processing, spatial, and business analytics – all on the same architecture.


Do you have experience in Quality Engineering? Then we are looking for you to extend our Quality Assurance team of SAP HANA platform.

Within our team, we practice a trust-based working model. If you need to work flexibly from another location or at another time you can do so given your manager’s agreement.


We require that you meet the core competencies and skills listed below:
Very good university degree in computer science, natural sciences, engineering or related area
Very good skills in SAP (support) processes
Very good knowledge of DB architecture
Very good HANA knowledge
At least 5 years’ experience in customer support organizations
Experience in leading a team or project
Experience in analyzing complex (performance) issues
Ability to work well in close teamwork and lead a team of excellent technicians and consultants
Excellent English both spoken and written


A plus will be:
Experience in major SAP products running on HANA (like S/4 HANA)
Experience in configuration and administration of SAP systems
Experience in analyzing complex (performance) issues
Experience in analyzing and implementing GPDB applications
Advanced LINUX and UNIX skills and experience
Proficiency in German, French, Spanish, Korean or Portuguese



As a Quality Manager in the SAP HANA Database team you will be leading the new HANA Top Customer Team (HTC) in San Ramon, which supports SAP’s most important HANA customers at technically critical situations and during roll out of major new HANA features. 
You will need to:
Lead a team, which is focused on customer success and supports important HANA customers helps customers implementing GPDB applications on HANA acquires new technology and execute PoCs with strategic HANA customers
Run customer projects with strategic HANA customers in very early phases of development
Analyze performance and scalability of SAP HANA in context of GPDB applications
Run internal projects for new quality topics

Your tasks will also include:
Close cooperation with development: set up systems and scenarios related to your team’s tasks and enable development to provide fixes in the shortest possible time
Provide feedback to and work together with development to continuously improve supportability and quality of SAP HANA
Work closely together with other SAP HANA DB locations


We seek a quality manager who is experienced in handling customer projects and very good general database technical knowledge (f/m)
