Government Relationship Manager

Program Lead:

  • Establish and maintain an effective public and government agency contact mechanism to ensure close connection with the government, investment and financing institutions, strategic partners, foreign embassies and consulates in China
  • Seek third party platforms related to company strategy such as associations, think tank and research institutes subordinated to central ministries/commissions and coordinate resources to execute strategic cooperation projects
  • Help business departments and marketing team to enhance influence of branding/marketing events through facilitating the engagement with officials/leaders from government and associations
  • Collect and research on industry information and latest policies, keep updated on the status quo and changes of the Chinese government, formulate accordingly appropriate countermeasures and solutions, and provide advice for the company's business operations and major decisions.
    Support company's strategic planning, domestic and overseas cooperation events, high-level visits and connection building with business councils and industry associations

Central Government Lead:

  • Establish efficient government and association communication and feedback mechanism to maintain government relations
  • Collect and interpret information on government support, subsidies, incentives and reward policies, and make moves according to company business demands
  • Summarize and evaluate each government supported project, make annual government project application plan
  • Take the overall project application work, including writing, organizing and checking of relevant materials to ensure rate of success
  • Facilitate meetings with top local government officials to promote regional business
  • Handle crisis, mitigate/eradicate negative influences

Local Government Business Develop:

  • Ensure local province/city is listed among “cloud services for one million enterprises” or among cloud service act partners
  • Collaborate with IVE and presales, make annual local on business expansion on basis of analyzing local government policies
  • Facilitate meetings with local government officials to promote specific business
  • Establish pilot projects with local enterprises/gardens/governments in Belt and Road cities/harbors
  • Secure speech seats/exhibition stand/awards in large-scale events driven by local government to enhance company thought leadership
  • Maintain close communication with company headquarters to handle emergencies
  • Secure education, health care, residence registration for local SAP employees

Qualification:

  • Over 10 years of work experience, rich in government resources with expertise in IT policy and regulation
  • Strong in logical thinking and strategic planning
  • Experience in leading communications in a complex, multi-product, multi-channel and/or multi-business organization.
  • Strategic orientation for establishing and committing to a long-term business direction, understanding market drivers and creating new opportunities.
  • Solid knowledge of media, strong and relevant network of government officials and influencers
  • Excellent in composing official letters to government department or project proposals
  • Both fluent in Mandarin and English, especially English writing.
  • Bachelor's degree in communication, international releations or a similar field from key universities.
