Business Development Expert, Summary & Role Information:

The Business Development Expert for GC Cloud Rise Go-To-Market (GTM) is part of the SAP GC COO office. As an individual contributor, aligned to specific strategic topics related to overall Cloud growth, especially Cloud RISE, this role requires the individual to work effectively in a virtual team environment and generate high impact results.

The core scopes can be broken up into 3 areas:

Area 1: Identify and advocate new growth levers and value delivery opportunities for Cloud business in GC. Develop customized Cloud business offerings. Execute on the evaluation, negotiation and execution of new Cloud opportunities and business models. Execute on new initiatives that drive growth and new sources of demand.

 Area 2: Responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day operations of Cloud commercial offerings such as new Cloud product landing, update of new offerings for an existing Cloud product and resolving any issue by working closely with Finance, Legal, Tax, DC operations etc. etc. teams.

Area 3: Support the development of business cases for new investment decisions through due diligence evaluations and other research activities. Responsible for providing the applicable data to operations teams to be consolidated into the monthly or quarterly reporting repositories/ dashboards.

 

Experience (Role Requirements):

  • Bachelor or Master degree, MBA degree is advantageous
  • 8-10 years' experience in enterprise software sales, sales enablement industry operations, and corporate development.
  • Experience in Cloud in the B2B environment.
  • Excellent communication and advance negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in working in a matrix environment.
  • Fluency in English, any other language an asset.
  • Knowledge of cloud, Hosted Services, and SaaS/ PaaS models, cloud -based commerce/ business networks
