PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SAP Global Security (SGS) team is part of the Global Finance & Administration board area. The SGS team is responsible for the protection of SAP’s brand, people, assets, intellectual property, customer data, and information technology from misuse or compromise. 

To further ensure secure and compliant SAP business in China we are extending the SGS team with a dedicated China Cyber Security Officer.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Define strategy of company’s information security business in China and develop, setup, and optimize its information security management system.
  • Initiate, manage and maintain internal assessments, external information security certifications/audits (e.g. China Cyber Security Law, ISO27k…) and any regulatory reporting.
  • Be the SAP coordinator for government information requests, working closely with the business continuity and legal teams in China.
  • Implementing and monitoring cybersecurity policies, including handling security impact assessments and regular reporting to management.
  • Own compliance of SAP China to local domain name and telecom regulations, e.g. VPN, file and maintain ICP registrations.
  • Assist SAP’s and its Line of Businesses in achieving and maintaining compliance to the China Cyber Security Law related assessments.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Successful degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Risk Management or related fields of studies
  • Information security related qualifications are desired, e.g CISSP...
  • Native Chinese and good English communication ability (written and spoken) is a prerequisite.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years’ experience in information security management in big or medium-sized companies.
  • Led implementation or design of information security management system or worked in information security consultancy.
  • Strong experience in risk assessment, compliance, security audits and information security regulations & standards, such as China Cyber Security Law, ISO, SOC, BS
