Role Description

The CE&X Field Ops Business Partner’s mission is to boost field productivity, improve business predictability and support executive decision-making.  This mission is accomplished by driving adoption and execution of Franchise for Customer Success (F4CS) operational practices which support business process simplification and better operational discipline.

The CE&X Field Ops Business Partner should have a solid understanding of all operational processes, tools and reporting assets of the F4CS in support of the LACE Operating Model but will primarily focus on driving operational excellence in the Expand phase of LACE (Expand F4CS).  CE&X Field Ops Business Partners may also volunteer for, or be called upon, to join specific projects related to F4CS or other areas relevant to their role. 

A key requirement for Regional CE&X Field Ops Business Partners is that they be located in the same geographic region as the team (or teams) they support.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with CE&X Regional, LOB and Market Unit leaders on Field Operations topics with direct responsibility for Expand F4CS practice areas.
  • Align with CE&X Global Field Operations Business Partners and other cross functional teams in support of CE&X Regional, LOB and Market Unit teams.
  • Drive implementation and adoption of Expand F4CS practices with CE&X leaders and other supporting stakeholders including Regional CE&X Business Office, Cloud Renewal Center, Cloud Renewal COE and Controlling.
  • Support the Expand F4CS Regional Franchise Executive in the development of processes, tools and reporting assets. Help to consolidate field and CE&X leaders’ requirements and feedback.  Take an active role in defining what CE&X Field Operations should look like and “make it happen”.
  • Analyze renewals data and Expand F4CS KPIs based on the annual operating plan, business goals and priorities, and team MBOs.  Present actionable recommendations for business improvements based on these analyses to CE&X leaders.
  • Collaborate with CE&X Controlling team on annual GTM planning activities including budget development, risk evaluation, and KPI setting.  Align with Services and Sales GTM activities.
  • Operationalize and facilitate the renewals forecast process in partnership with the CE&X leader.   Drive the forecast cadence, data governance and data hygiene with responsible opportunity owners and field leaders.  Follow up with opportunity owners, field leaders and other forecast stakeholders, including Cloud Renewal Center and Controlling, to resolve any issues in a timely way.  Prioritize quarter-end closing specific activities.  Update VET in accordance with global forecasting requirements and timelines.
  • Assist CE&X leaders in preparation for scheduled business reviews.  Examples include but are not limited to QBRs and annual budgeting activities. Participate actively in review sessions.
    Required Skills & Experience:
  • Previous customer success, post sales, renewals or sales operations experience ​
  • Excellent MS Excel usage, knowledge of forecast management, CRM, Harmony, and reporting
  • Experience analyzing post-sales related data in multiple dimensions (LOB, Geography, etc.).
  • Excellent networking, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Customer focus / customer service mindset
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability and willingness to manage tight deadlines
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of LACE, with emphasis on Adopt, Consume and Expand phases
  • Mix of business knowledge and technical abilities​
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in related field and/or role
