Job Summary

Your key focus as a Technical DRA lead will be to extend SAPs market coverage at scale by analyzing large datasets for customer contact data, business intelligence and campaign assessments.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • A strong track record in delivering reproducible data science assets, concretely:
    • Language-based (Python, R, SQL) data pipeline and extraction-transformation-loading processes, leveraging APIs, flat files, and database connections
    • Advanced skills in data transformation, specifically joining diverse records, changing data “shape” (wide to long, e.g.), and integrating data taxonomies
    • Creation of reproducible reporting and visualization assets
  • A quantitative or engineering educational background
    • Bachelor’s or ideally advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a quantitative science / social science
    • Academic training in statistics
  • Experience managing and training junior data scientists
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly in both written and verbal formats
  • Strong understanding in how to apply various business intelligence/customer intelligence systems, tools, and datasets
  • Ability to generate reports from various internal and external data sources
  • Great attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality work
  • Ability organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines

Analysis examples

  • “What”: Basic reporting of what is happening in marketing, including stimulus, response, and cost
  • “Why”: Understanding the root causes behind marketing-related outcomes, including campaigns, account-based marketing efforts, and long-term brand movements
  • “Who”: Profiling, segmenting, and finding the prospects and customers that will be targeted with a wide range of marketing tactics
  • “How”: Attribution of outcomes to specific marketing actions, with implications on future strategy

 

Technical Requirements

  • Expert in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SQL based queries
  • Experience with or desire to learn Outreach, R, Marketo, or Python is a plus
