ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The HR Project Experts are responsible for the overall management of an HR program/ project throughout its lifecycle (incl. Initiating, Planning, Executing and Closing). They have the qualifications and business acumen to lead large scale, high risk, strategic programs/ projects that span organizational boundaries including multiple HR pillars and complete those projects in budget, time and quality.


EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

Scope Management

Collect requirements and define scope based on project charter
Control Scope: Actively identify changes in scope and ensure appropriate measures are taken to re-assess and adapt the project scope and associated timelines, resources and costs

 

Schedule Management

Define milestones and activities, sequence activities and estimate resources and duration needed

 

Cost Management

Manage the financial aspects of the project including estimating costs, determining budget and controlling costs

 

Resource Management

Define project resources, acquire project team and ensure full utilization
Develop and manage project team: Create a project environment that enables high performance of team members through influencing, mentoring and providing clear guidance to them

 

Integration Management

Responsible for development and sign off of project charter
Responsible for the development of the overall project management plan
Monitor and control project work through appropriate KPIs and report progress to governance bodies.
Close project phases by gaining acceptance and get sign off from the key parties involved

 

Risk and Issue Management

Identify and monitor risks and issues
Manage risks by establishing contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigation actions

 

Communication and Change Management

Define and manage stakeholder expectations:

Actively manage relationships with project stakeholders inside and outside of HR
Keeping them informed of the project progress in order to manage expectations on project deliverables and impacts
Manage their satisfaction and secure their support

Plan and manage Communication and Training: Develop a clear vision and value proposition of the project goals and develop/ execute a change management plan accordingly

 

Contributes to and enhances body of knowledge

Is able to drives continuous improvement and break-through results related to selected products, services and processes
Proactively shares knowledge and expertise to help others to develop and grow (cross-LoB knowledge roll-in and roll-out)

 

Quality Management

Plan Quality and perform quality assurance

 

Demonstrates thought leadership

Contributes to standards and leading-edge best practices in own area of expertise across the organization
Keeps track of innovations in his / her area of responsibility and brings insights back to team
Represents own team to internal / external customers and external partners (associations,
authorities, universities etc.)

 

Takes Team Lead Role from time to time

 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Min. 5-7 years of Project Management experience in large scale, high risk, or strategic projects
Ideally 3-5 years of supervisory or coaching experience in teambuilding and leading teams
Ideally 3-5 years’ experience in HR function (e.g. Total Rewards, Learning & Talent Management, HR Operations, HR Business Partners)
Proven experience in cross-functional project settings involving partners outside HR (e.g. IT, Communication, COO)

Ideally credential holder of a project management certification (PMI preferred)

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Higher education degree or comparable experience
