Summary and Role Information:

The System & Infrastructure DevOps team, as part of Global Cloud Services, is responsible for the system landscape operation across SAP global data centers used by SAP cloud businesses such as SAP Business Technology Platform.


As a Senior Service and Operation Consultant, you will be working together the management team in establishing, executing and controlling the service fulfilment process, to ensure Services are delivered in-quality, in-time and in-budget.


We are in the process to establish a new operating model while ensuring existing function continue to function well. You are expected to be flexible and able to balance the different priorities and requirements while we transform. The key topics including

  • Incident management
  • Problem management
  • Service Request and Project delivery
  • Service Transition and Change Enablement
  • Continuous improvement
  • Operation automation, telemetry

You will have great opportunity to work with many colleagues across SAP in shaping and living our operation model towards modern cloud operation concept.


Experience and Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalents.
  • 5+ years’ experience in large scale enterprise business critical infrastructure operations.
  • Good knowledge of all aspects of Infrastructure technology, IaaS and DevOps concepts.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL and operation processes.
  • A true passion for ensuring customer success and excellence.
  • Excellent in strategic thinking, communication, and people skills.
  • Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Capability to work under pressure and make fact-based decisions in escalated situation.
  • Experience in working with global operation setup.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, is comfortable with ambiguity.
