SAP BTP Destination service is used by cloud-native applications to keep credentials and routing information, and fetch tokens to connect to business applications and systems. It is among SAP’s top services by adoption, currently used by more than 30.000 customers worldwide and powering many other core cloud services. Its features, non-technical capabilities and data center coverage are continuously growing, and its architecture is evolving with the industry’s best practices and latest technology trends.
An integral part of the service is its administrative UI – a tool for managing service entities, providing various features allowing the users to achieve their goals quickly and efficiently. The administrative UI is designed to be embeddable into other solutions, making it quite versatile and also really challenging and fun to work on.
What you'll do
- build and evolve the customer-facing micro-frontend-based administrative UIs of the service in accordance with the customer needs and feedback
- integrate the administrative UIs in various higher-level solutions
- participate in various activities to improve the overall user experience of the service
- participate in all phases of software services development and delivery: from research & prototyping, design & architecture, through implementation & testing, to deployment, support & operations
- adhere to the industry’s best practices and the team’s high standards for code quality
- actively contribute to the process of continuous improvement: personal, team and service
What you bring
as a Junior, Mid or Senior UI / Front-end or Full-stack Developer
Our tech stack is based on:
- Frontend: SAPUI5, Luigi (micro-frontend framework), TypeScript, JavaScript
- Backend: Java, Vert.x, PostgreSQL
- General: REST, JSON, YAML, OAuth2
Ideally, besides some of the above already in your toolbox, you are either familiar with or curious about
- cloud and high-scale computing, distributed systems, event-driven application frameworks, microservice architecture
- micro-frontend architecture
- MVC concept and UI frameworks that are based on it (while SAPUI5 is an advantage, experience in others would be sufficient as well)
- non-blocking and asynchronous programming
- cloud-native technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Istio and Envoy
Education and qualifications
- University education in computer science, software engineering or similar
- Curiosity and track record for quickly learning new technologies, concepts and tools
- Self-organization and good time management, ability to drive topics
- High productivity, strong drive for results, reliability keeping deadlines and commitments
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills, and fluency in English: collaboration in an international environment will be a regular part of your job.
Work experience
- 1+ years of professional experience (students are welcome too) for early talent candidates
- 5+ years of professional experience for senior candidates
