Summary & Role Information:
The GCS Tools department is a shared service provider within the GCS organization (Global Cloud Services). The department is responsible for a set of business critical applications.
GCS Tools is looking for a new colleague (f/m/d) (expert level) supporting the team in various dimensions, having a strong focus on architecture, technical interfaces and active software development.
The role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Get familiar with the existing technical applications & solutions
  • Implement feature requests & solution extensions applying professional software development methods
  • Support the department in improving the team's technical solutions & applications including the technical interfaces, the architecture and landscapes in place
  • In close collaboration with the department, represent the team and its responsibilities in multiple dimensions (includes documentation, PPT development & upper mgt exchange)
  • Alignment and close collaboration with the team including architects, product owners & developers
  • Close exchange with internal SAP departments aiming for customer satisfaction
  • Close cooperation with the GCS Tools management
  • Active escalation management
  • Act as strong team player

Experience/ Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree, preferably in computer science, business information systems, industrial engineering and/or international management 
  • Expert software development skills in Javascript, ABAP OO and Java
  • Very good knowledge in SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/ Orchestration)
  • Excellent understanding of IT Service Management including required tools/applications
  • Analytical, problem solving skills and ability to work customer orientated
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications 
  • Proven hands-on experience in software development projects 
  • 7+ years of experience in a service-oriented role in IT industry
  • Fluent in English and German 
  • SAP HANA Knowledge (DB & XSA) will be a plus (not mandatory)
