YOUR FUTURE ROLE

Are you interested in diverse and balanced technical activities with direct contact to our customers, either remote or on the customer’s premises? Do you want to collaborate with teams in other regions across the globe? 

 

We offer a position where you are responsible for:
 

  • Analysis of complex SAP software solutions and technologies such as the SAP HANA Database Platform with focus to the underlying technical infrastructure.
  • Delivery of onsite and remote services for global customers with focus on technical infrastructure performance and configuration topics, e.g. Linux Operating system, Network, Storage.
  • Adaption of knowledge on new technologies in a consistently high dynamic changing environment.
  • Collaboration with various teams inside SAP to drive a topic.
  • Develop various analysis tools/charts for performance, troubleshooting leveraging the existing Platform toolsets.
  • Demonstrate advanced analytical skills by identifying the root cause of complex issues, provide RCAs, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Mentor and train lower level engineers.

YOUR PROFIL

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Interest in technical infrastructure topics like Linux operating system, network and storage optimization, landscape virtualization and cloud topics.
  • Minimum 5 years working in these areas.
  • Advanced skills with Cloud IaaS (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Virtualization platforms – compute, storage and network.
  • Advanced Linux skills.
  • Experience with the following tools and technologies a strong plus: Scripting languages Bash/Python, DevOps, Git.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Adaptable self-starter with strong collaboration skills.

Our motivated and diverse team within the SAP Customer Success organization "Center of Expertise" has the mission to support SAP's largest customers as trusted advisors throughout the entire lifecycle of SAP software to make the benefits of digital transformation a reality. 
Especially the definition of technical architecture and IT infrastructure including advanced sizing estimations is a high demand from our customers in their transformation of their IT landscape, e.g. in their journey towards cloud deployments.
