Role Description 


Local HR Services is an integral part of the HR Operating Model. Side-by-side with the HR Business Partners and the HR Advisor function we provide scalable HR services to SAP employees where unique and country specific knowledge is required. We deliver consistent, compliant and standardized HR services and use our local labor knowledge and have deep process understanding. We also run crucial pre-payroll processes which are mission critical for business continuity. We are biased towards execution and efficiency. We also partner in many global projects and continuous improvement initiatives across all HR functions. 


The Nordic Local HR Services consultant is responsible to provide and resolve employee queries, consults employees and carries-out operational HR administrative tasks across the whole employee life cycle (from onboarding to offboarding). The consultant will closely team up with the local HR Business Partner team, the HR Advisors and partners closely with Payroll and Data Management and colleagues from all other supporting functions as well as with the local business units.  



Key Responsibilities: 


  • Main responsible is to ensure smooth local HR Operations and Payroll Input delivery in Sweden. Support of additional Nordic and Baltics countries might be required. 
  • Be the second level support for all kind of HR inquiries coming from employee’s in accordance with our Service Level Agreements 
  • HR Portal pages maintenance and input to the HR knowledgebase  
  • Onboarding of new hires and related administration 
  • Delivery of time critical, highly visible pre-payroll input  
  • Involvement in termination cases 
  • Support Benefits administration 
  • Administration and support in restructurings and Mergers & Acquisitions 
  • Promotion of HR Shared Service Center concept (the HR Operational Model) and support of local HR communication activities 
  • Partner with other HR Service Specialists in EMEA, HR Business Partner, HR Advisors and HR Center of Excellence to solve issues and to deliver service improvements 
  • Seeks feedback from customers to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Building relationships with HR Global Service Delivery teams, CoEs, HRBPs, and other key departments to facilitate the delivery of processes. Becoming a "partner" and displaying the benefit of a combined working relationship. 
  • Working with vendors and building a relationship with them to ensure we have identified the most efficient and effective process with that vendor 


Education and qualifications / Skills and competencies: 


  • Business Degree preferred 
  • Knowledge of Swedish or another Nordic employment law/ legislation is a must 
  • Professional communication skills; both written and verbal 
  • Good knowledge of payroll processes and pre-payroll reporting requirements 
  • Good knowledge of HR processes 
  • Quality driven, analytical, and problem-solving skills 
  • High level of accuracy with a high attention to details 
  • Able to accept and embrace continuous changes and improvement 
  • Able and willing to adapt new learnings and tools  
  • Able to plan, work, drive and own initiatives and independently execute them without supervision 
  • Ability to work in a truly international team where team members are located in different locations and belong to different cultures 
  • Experienced to work with confidential information   
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
  • English language skills written and spoken fluently is mandatory 
  • Fluent Swedish, or other any other Nordic language are required  


Work experience: 


  • 3-6 years of work experience in a comparable HR role 
  • Strong Customer service attitude 
  • Background in payroll practices  
  • Work experience in an HR Shared Service environment  
  • Experience working in a multinational context, team, and company 




  • SAP HR system knowledge 
  • Experience in working in a virtual team 
  • Project Management Experience is a plus
