Key Responsibilities & Tasks

Under ASIANOW strategy of SAP APJ, Partnerships are a beacon of growth. With our cutting edge solutions, deep knowledge of Industry and business processes, We are placing a greater emphasis to develop new revenue streams leveraging the innovation potential of SAP.

Head of Private Equity & Venture Capital Partnerships role is a revenue enabling role responsible for creating Top-Down One-to-Many relationships with PE & VC firms and their portfolio companies to originate, influence, and generate exponentially greater revenue for SAP.

The individual will be responsible for the relationships with our TOP Private Equity and Venture Capital firms in Japan. In addition , to them the individual will also keep an oversight on out top partners reselling in this space and co-lead the GTM efforts with Partners.

The individual will have deep account level involvement and will be accountable for creating and delivering against structured bi-lateral plans to increase Private Equity fund and Venture Capital relationships and business development activity.

The individuals’ goal be comprised of activity-based metrics including Firm Business Reviews, Account Planning Sessions, and Demand Generation activities and performance based on YOY pipeline and bookings growth across the firm’s portfolio companies.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate advanced Private Equity and Venture Capital industry knowledge and business acumen as well as the ability to engage and communicate with Executives at both Executive Board and C-Level Management levels.

Deep knowledge of the technology industry and experience working in a highly matrixed global sales organization are key, especially as the role will consist of working within and between multiple geographies.

Advanced sales, partnership and alliance management skills are needed to succeed in this role.

Experience & Educational Requirements

Experience in PE/VC/M&A/Investment Banking (5+ Years)

Worked in technology industry (5+ Years) Work experience in management consulting or general management (5+ Years)

Sales, partnership & alliance management (10+ Years)

Experience working in a highly matrixed global sales organization

Experience working within and between multiple countries in Asia Pacific and Japan

Strong knowledge of the complete SAP offering (including Service and Support)

C-level executive writing/presence/acumen Business level English: Fluent Local language: Fluent, Business Level Education Bachelor equivalent MBA preferred
