The role is part of SAP HANA Development Support team where we work with the latest cloud and database technologies. We are responsible for supporting our internal and external customers by analyzing incidents and collaborate with core development teams worldwide to ensure high quality of the SAP HANA database platform. As a Senior Development Support Engineer, you will:
 * Support customers troubleshooting non-trivial SAP HANA database issues with stability, functionality, scalability, and performance
 * Collaborate tightly with HANA core dev teams locally and across the world
 * Create reproducible scenarios, collect, and analyze traces
 * Help improving technical documentation
 * Continuously drive database supportability and observability features
 * Work together with HANA Cloud Operations / SRE teams in a multicloud environment
 * Prototype and develop new tools to reduce toil
 * Mentor junior team members
Role requirements:
 * Degree in Computer Science or related field
 * Profound relational database knowledge: data model design, performance optimization, administration
 * 2-3 years of SAP HANA hands-on experience
 * 1+ year of customer support experience
 * Basic Linux skills, shell scripting, network/IO troubleshooting
 * Hands-on experience with cloud tech stack and at least one of major hyperscalers 
 * Any modern programming language (Python, JS, Java, ...)
 * Knowledge of SAP applications (R/3, S/4HANA, BW) is a plus
 * Good communication skills, fluency in business English
