We are seeking a Senior Service Designer to join our Design Product Management Team (part of the SAP Design Service & Enablement group). This role will focus on product strategy with a service design approach, driving cross functional collaboration to transform customer experiences across the entire customer lifecycle. Reporting into the Director of Design Product Management, this role will play a large part in transforming SAP Design’s place at the table when we talk about product strategy within the larger organization. 


This individual will become part of an exciting and international design team of over 100 designers that works in the heart of SAP, operating across organizational boundaries with touch points to all continents and cultures.

  • are design-driven and user-centric and enjoy research, product design, interaction design, information architecture, design validation, agile principles, working with tools, and communicating findings across the organization
  • Your portfolio shows that you are seasoned in journey mapping, facilitating service blueprint creation and value proposition design, org design empathy maps to evolve products and services which achieve business outcomes.
  • can talk about the world class cross functional workshops you’ve hosted
  • shown ability to lead in complex situations, with ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • work well within multidisciplinary teams to design internal business systems, processes, and capabilities required to deliver envisioned service experiences.


What You Bring


  • 3-5+ years working Service Design experience in a large enterprise
  • Understands and advocates for a variety of research methodologies
  • Experience using approaches to delivering Service Design artifacts that include service blueprints, journey maps, concept designs, experience prototypes, empathy maps, and value propositions
  • Experience in defining scope using business goals, user objectives, dependencies and known risks using market research, user insights, industry trends & company data.



  • Education in behavioral science, design research or a related field 
  • Experience building wireframes and prototypes
  • Experience in an agile development environment 
  • Quality communication and influence skills at all levels of leadership
  • Expert facilitation skills 
  • Proven track record of leading complex and large scale, transformational and/or multiple simultaneous projects with decentralized teams
