What you'll do
You will become a member of our Java development team:
•    Work and experiment with Java, Spring, SAP HANA Cloud, SQLite, …
•    Make CAP Java more accessible by improving and extending code samples and documentation
•    Share your knowledge regularly with the team
•    We work in Scrum – you will be included in our team process


We are looking for a working student who
•    is enthusiastic about learning new technologies
•    enjoys experimenting with frameworks and cloud platforms
•    wants to continuously learn and improve

 

What you bring

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: computer science or related fields
  • Computer skills: Java (very good), NodeJS (basic to good)
  • Beneficial: Experience with Git/GitHub, Spring framework, backend development, cloud platforms
  • Language skills: fluent in English, German as a plus
  • Others: Technical writing skill is a plus
  • Soft skills: Good team player

 

Meet your team
Our team is part of the technology development organization and delivers a programming model for the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The Cloud Application Programming model (also known as CAP) has the goal to provide an effective, efficient, and elegant way to develop business services and applications on BTP. It’s based on a new implementation of the Core Data Services (CDS) concept. You can find more information on our website: https://cap.cloud.sap/


You will be working in a Scrum development team located in Walldorf. We emphasize teamwork and a trust-based working model. Due to the pandemic situation the option of working partially or fully remote exists.

 

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
