Working Student (f/m/d) - Communication Team for the Chief Operating Officer (COO)

ABOUT THE TEAM


You will become a part of the communication team for the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in SAP’s Finance board area Global Finance and Administration (GFA). This team is responsible for communication topics that are relevant to the whole organization, as well as across SAP. Furthermore, it leads internal projects, such as the success stories initiative, that highlights achievements of the Finance board area, that will be published internally and externally. 

GFA COO is responsible for orchestrating and driving SAP’s digital finance transformation in close alignment with the Finance leadership team, experts, and other stakeholders. This includes the optimization of GFA’s service portfolio and delivery model, the simplification and automation of core finance processes, as well as the implementation of new business models and leading-edge solutions and technology. An international team of experienced Program & Project Managers operates globally to support our Leadership Team in driving the transformation and simplification of the SAP finance organization.


THE ROLE


Due to the international nature of our team and projects you will have the opportunity to experience diverse professional and cultural backgrounds and gain deep practical experience and knowledge in communication, writing professional articles and finance processes. 

You will actively participate in our “success story initiative” project; meaning 1) developing and writing stories, 2) get active in communication topics within our organization and 3) defining and executing communication and marketing plan. You will support the Project Manager as a fully integrated member of the project team. 

Your tasks will typically include: 

  • Interviewing internal experts and writing first drafts of the success stories, which provide the foundation for our project
  • Technical support: Editing and publishing of success stories within the project on relevant platforms
  • Writing, preparing, and editing news blogs article for internal and external usage
  • Project Management tasks involving orchestrating calls, appointments, taking meeting minutes and sending out e-mails
  • Creating ideas and develop ideas of communication plan, formants and tools within the company to increase perception and audience reach

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Currently enrolled student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences with preferred field(s) of study: Linguistics, Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, Online-Marketing, International Management, or a related field of study 
  • Computer skills: 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word excellent)
    • Other Microsoft tools such as Teams, Sway + other related communication tools
    • Web-related / social media experience is a plus, not a must
    • Graphical and video formats knowledge might be a plus 
  • Language skills: 
    • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written 
    • Fluent in English; German is a plus 
  • Soft skills: 
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills 
    • Structured approach to delivering professional results 
    • Being pro-active and able to work independently
    • Self-driven and highly motivated team player with an open and flexible personality 
    • Able to work in international, dynamic, virtual teams
