As part of IES, the Identity & Access Management team drives SAP’s future Identity and Access Management strategy that enables People at SAP to have a secure digital Identity and Access to all SAP Business Applications. We are providing THE CENTRAL Identity & Access Management Services, which keep SAP and it's business processes alive and sustainable in the sense of Identity & Access Management.

Be a Developer in one of our successful agile teams and help your colleagues to deliver value to SAP! Experience first touchpoints around product delivery while being part of the team.
You will be supporting the development team and take over tasks and responsibilities on your own.

You will learn and in the end be able to act in the responsibilities described below:

  • You will be working closely together with your team and also with teams from other areas within SAP 
  • Take up complex development tasks to generate value to your customers with full responsibility to drive them in the right direction with the help of your senior colleagues. 
  • It is beneficial if you can build on your experience applying common programming languages like Java in complex business environment
  • You will gain knowledge regarding current End-to-End Identity and Access Management processes, e.g. Cloud Identity and Access Management and Cyber Security. Work with current and upcoming technologies for Big Data Management, scalable networks and application interconnectivity (SCIM, SAML&OIDC)
  • Help to enhance our IAM products or design and implement authorization concepts End-to-End using state-of-the-art technology
  • You will be attending agile ceremonies & workshops organized by our Agile Transformation team to get a feeling on what agile means and how we “use” it
  • Learn and participate in agile methods like Backlog Refinement, Planning Meeting, Stand-up Meetings, Review Meeting (incl. Demo) and Retrospective meeting
  • Work will be partially remote during the pandemic – but you will also be able to meet our team in the office
  • Overall you will grow as a person into a role as an upcoming IAM professional and learn essential skills in a practical way for your future career



  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Informatics, Business Informatics or similiar
  • Computer skills: Programming skills in at least one programming language like JavaScript
  • Language skills: fluent in English and German 
  • Soft skills: open-minded, being highly motivated, proactive and well-organized
  • A positive ‘can-do’ and ‘get the job done’ attitude
  • Curiosity about complex systems and their inner workings
  • Good understanding of complex matters helps you to solve difficult programming tasks
  • Have your own Git Project running as a side project or similar is a huge plus
  • No work experience is required


Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
