About the team
SAP Technology & Innovation (T&I) is responsible for SAP’s overall platform and technology development such as SAP Cloud Platform and SAP HANA. In addition, T&I drives the incubation and adoption of intelligent technologies like SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Ruum, Business Process Management and more to make process automation easy across SAP’s product portfolio. The T&I board area is also in charge of SAP’s global innovation agenda and builds new business model- and market driven innovations to help customers realize the most business value.
With the market convergence of RPA, workflow management, process analytics and collaboration solutions, business process automation is entering a new era: The age of Hyperautomation. For SAP, it’s one of the most strategic areas of investment. In this role, you will be driving the UX design for a new Citizen Developer Cockpit In that area of Business Process Improvement.

As a Working Student (f/m/d) you will assist the artificial intelligence (AI) researchers in our Walldorf team by converting research findings into tangible software prototypes. In this highly agile team, you have the chance to work on a brand-new product and be involved in the process that spans from having a research idea to developing a production-grade feature for the RPA solution.
To fuel and to further build up our momentum, we are constantly looking for qualified and committed students who want to be involved in state-of-the-art business software development projects and are eager to experience the abundant opportunities SAP has to offer.

 

The role
We are looking for a motivated and self-driven student (f/m/d) to assist us on the following tasks:

  • Work together with our PhD students to push the frontiers of what is possible in the combination of RPA and Artificial Intelligence
  • Develop web applications that showcase machine learning prototypes

 

Education and qualifications
Required

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences with preferred fields of study: computer science, business informatics, mathematics, physics
  • Practical experience in web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand & adjust
  • Fluent in spoken & written English & German

Preferred (any of these is a plus)

  • Programming skills in Python
  • Practical experience with Deep Learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch)
  • Knowledge in Computer Vision
