PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The DBS Services Delivery Controlling department supports the Digital Business Services Management in all controlling related activities such as budget process, forecast, deviation and risk analysis as well as project controlling. The department co-ordinates all management reporting and accounting issues, including management reporting to support business decision making and transformation, monthly financial forecasts, budgeting and other longer term planning activities.

The DBS Services Delivery Controlling Team is part of the Digital Business Services Controlling team and ensures strong controlling support for various global services functions within Services. The reporting line is directly to the DBS Services Delivery Controlling Manager.

We are looking for an experienced (Senior) Controller with for our DBS Services Delivery Controlling Team. One of the main tasks will be the preparation and allocation of business relevant information for the global management. You will support the development of the business, make expertise and skilled resources available and manage a knowledge network. You will closely interact with the Digital Business Service Heads and the regional finance teams to support financial and operational issues.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Manages financial performance of the DBS Services Delivery functions
  • Focus on quarterly actual and financial forecasts/budget
  • Close co-operation with regional services teams and other services business units
  • Actively leading various activities to ensure overall financial performance, such as quarter end close, financial forecast, budgeting
  • Act as role model for using our own SAP products as catalyst for increased F&A efficiency
  • Establish a team spirit that consistently motivates to deliver best work and align the team on business priorities
  • Create, write and communicate briefings, presentations and memos for senior management and interpret, analyze and evaluate business plans and operating/ financial plans

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • University degree and/or MBA in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Very good knowledge of consulting business
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to understand complex frameworks
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills
  • Strong conceptual and structured work style
  • Strong sense of prioritization, results and execution-focused
  • Process knowledge of SAP internal revenue & customer processes would be advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills to successfully interact with colleagues and executive management alike
  • Excellent skills in diagnosing inefficiencies in business processes and initiating and completing corrective actions Proven ability to drive business transformation and execution against ambitious milestones
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, German is a big plus

WORK EXPERIENCE

2+ years of professional work experience with a strong focus on controlling processes.
