The Design organization of HANA & Analytics in the Board Area T&I aims to support our next generation, industry-leading cloud platform. Our global team is growing fast, and we are constantly in the pursuit of fresh innovations with the most user-friendly and modern cloud experience. We are looking for a Business Assistant to support the Head of Design in the HANA & Analytics organization with day-to-day administrative and planning tasks who can also fulfill the role of a Digital Media Manager.

  • Fully manage the calendar and the inbox of the Head of Design
  • Coordinate detailed travel arrangements, as well as meetings and event planning
  • Setting up customer/prospect meetings (internal and external)
  • Strong project management skills requiring follow up and independent completion of projects
  • Monitoring action items and manage reminders
  • Managing workflows and monitoring items (vacation requests, purchase orders, inventory etc.)
  • Community building & best practice sharing between different offices
  • Manage shared drives, communities, Jam sites, etc.
  • Developing collaborative work relationships within team and cross-functional teams
  • Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the executive to facilitate efficient decision making
  • Assist in preparation of presentations, correspondence, metrics, charts, tables and graphs 
  • Manage assigned projects in a self-reliant manner and maintain adequate communication with interested / affected parties
  • Support communicating our work to internal and external stakeholders via different channels
  • Create and maintain a Design Blog / Podcast about the work in our organization
  • Maintain our social media channel (e.g. on Twitter and LinkedIn)
  • Ability to record, edit and produce mini videos
  • Manage shared drives, communities, Jam sites, etc.

Required skills:

  • Excellent Bachelor or Master’s in Business Administrations, Economics or Information Technology
  • Fast learning curve and ability to quickly understand technical topics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English, comfortable to work on all hierarchic levels of the organization
  • High level of flexibility and enthusiasm for the projects on hand with a high commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP solution offering and business models
  • Strategic Understanding and Knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and confidentiality
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, planning and project management skills
  • Ability to coordinate meetings, communications, etc. across international time zones
  • Experience in a globally distributed team / strong intercultural competencies
  • Broad knowledge of general business processes / practices
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work under time constraints and in complex environments
  • Experience with visual communication principles
  • Basic knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop


  • 3+ years of work experience at SAP
  • Successful in working with different audiences at the executive and team level
