PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP DBS increasingly supports the customers with designing and optimizing of business-critical core processes for strategic, economic and technologic purposes. Prerequisite for maximizing the success of our customer are best-in-class operation procedures supporting our internal business processes.

The mission of the DBS Services Delivery team is to help the business in driving simplicity, mitigating risk and lowering total cost of operation to release investment for future optimization and innovation.

The SAP S/4HANA MOVE Program is a cross board initiative to drive the SAP S/4HANA adoption globally. Target is to help our customers to move their legacy ERP to SAP S/4HANA. This is the foundation for our customers to turn their business into an Intelligent Enterprise. The MOVE Team ensures the execution of the initiative according to given targets and run an effective governance across all levels of the organization.

SAP DBS supports the program with a wide range of activities, e.g. streamlining and enhancing our tools set (e.g. Transformation Navigator, Readiness Check, Custom Code remediation, and many more), enriching our service portfolio and delivery approach - leveraging our factories. Furthermore, we want to support our partners with simple & well-established enablement- and support models – the “How” should not be an issue for any customer anymore.

 

EXPECTATIONS & TASKS

  • As a DM< Principal Consultant, your job will involve working in a global team focusing on international customer projects in all regions. Your focus topic will be mainly in the area of guiding our customers within the transition to SAP S/4HANA.

  • The main tasks include:
  • Conducting feasibility studies and system analyses (supported by SAP DM< products and tools) to scope and plan the required solution approach to support customers
  • Engaging with customers to identify customer needs, and to design the appropriate solution proposal
  • Facilitating workshops and discussions
  • Delivering S/4 HANA transformation projects remotely and on site in close collaboration with people in different roles and locations, and with different areas and levels of expertise (for example, customer engagement lead, developers, product owners, solution architects, or support engineers)
  • Maintaining trustful relationships with people, both externally on customer/partner side and internally
  • Contributing to DM & LT solution development and standardization (service and software)

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Final degree (e.g. business administration, economics, computer sciences) or equivalent work experience
  • Profound knowledge on SAP S/4HANA technology & architecture and respective business process understanding
  • Strong knowledge in at least one SAP application, e.g. FI/CO, SD or MM
  • Good SAP HANA database administration and SAP HANA native/platform/optimization knowledge are strong assets
  • ABAP / ABAP OO is a strong asset
  • Experience in or knowledge of cloud solutions like Hybris, Ariba, Success Factors are an asset
  • Experience with MDG, Data Services and Data Integration are an asset.
  • Fluent in English is mandatory, language skills in German is a strong asset
  • Excellent communication skills across all hierarchy levels, both internally and externally
  • Advanced presentation and facilitation skills are a strong asset (e.g. visualization techniques, Design Thinking, etc.)
  • Sound project management skills, and project work experience
  • High affinity to SAP technology and SAP consulting
  • Ability to drive execution within own area of responsibility, and to align cross-topic objectives & approaches

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 6 years’ work experience in SAP ERP (e.g. as a functional consultant with technical skills (SAP data model, ABAP)) or a minimum of 3 experience in data transformation projects and solutions (DM & LT Services or EIM Solutions).
  • Extensive knowledge of, and implementation experience in ERP FI, CO, LO, SD or MM modules.
  • Knowledge and experience in executing data migration and conversion projects, various data migration techniques and approaches as well as data management topics like Master Data Governance
  • Experience in SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA implementation and transition projects.
  • Experience and proven track in customer interaction and international projects
