What criteria will be used for selection of candidates for the program?

SAP places a higher emphasis on shared values, cultural fit with the organization, individual drive and creativity and reason for interest in SAP. In addition, the prior industry experience, exposure to technology and a skill set matching the available roles are also key considerations.

How can I prepare for the selection process?

You may begin by finding out more about SAP as a company as well as some of our products that might especially appeal to you. You could also think about transferable skills from your previous work experience and how this might add value to our organization. Key highlights of your individual contributions from your previous workplace would help to showcase your unique strengths and abilities. Most of all, remember to be yourself and put your best foot forward.

What will be my base location?

Currently, the SAP Returnship program is only offered from our offices in Bangalore.

What is the working model available under this program? Can I work from home or do I have to come to SAP office?

SAP is committed to the health, safety and well-being of all its employees and staff. It is the decision of the organization to carefully review how the COVID situation in India is unfolding while we prepare to return to offices in a phased manner. This includes the clear decision of the organization to strive for maximum flexibility for its employees as regards working from home while also balancing this with business needs requiring being physically present at our offices. Consequently, each line of business has the full discretion to decide how they are planning on returning to offices based on their specific business needs and subject to the overall safety guidelines. This means that the candidates selected for the program will need to adapt to the chosen model of the line of business to which they are assigned. They may need to work from the assigned SAP office in Bangalore at least some days each week to allow closer interactions with the larger teams. Limited work from home may be possible subject to specific flex-work plans for each line of business and can vary from team to team. Candidates may in addition need to come to office for specific events/meetings etc. e.g., program kick-off or program induction etc.

What is the program structure & timeline?

The program kick-off will be in Sep 2022 with an induction/orientation session following which, over the subsequent 6 months you will participate in experiential hands-on learning assignments where you will have the opportunity to upskill through structured learning programs within multi-disciplinary teams. A dedicated mentor will also be assigned to guide you every step of the way. You will in addition, also have access to expert info-sessions and learning materials pertaining to new and emerging technologies.

Upon successful completion of the learning assignments in, you will receive a program completion certificate and will be preferentially considered for conversion to full-time employment within SAP depending also on the availability of suitable roles.

Note: Depending on their suitability for available roles, SAP reserves the right to directly offer full-time employment to specific applicants without them participating in the program or obtaining a program completion certificate

Can I reapply to the program if I am not selected for a role?

In case your application is not selected for the program this year, you may reapply to this program in the following year provided you still meet the eligibility criteria. In addition, you are free to apply to any other eligible position in SAP after a minimum period of 6 months from the date of your last interview with SAP.
