In Brno branch you will be part of SAP Labs Network. SAP Labs are research and development locations that build and improve SAP core products. With 20 labs in 17 countries, SAP Labs drive thought leadership globally as well as in their local ecosystems, allowing SAP to innovate, grow, and succeed.

One of the growing areas in our Brno Lab is the S/4HANA Public Cloud Development, the SAP flag ship in Public Cloud. Developers are directly involved in the newest products, which SAP plans to bring to market, using the latest technology such as AI, in-memory computing, cloud-based applications, and advanced user interfaces. Part of S/4HANA will be an International Trade solution covering all necessary processes in companies exchanging capital, goods, and services across international borders or territories.

For this development team we are looking for fresh graduates or people at the beginning of their careers.

WHAT YOU´LL DO
We are looking for a passionate Junior Developer for our team in Brno to work on the exciting global project of International Trade. In this role: 

• You will gain valuable insights into critical Business Processes of the S/4HANA Public Cloud International Trade solution while engaging directly with our growing customer base
• You will be involved in the full software development cycle, from discussing requirements with our stakeholders, over design, implementation, quality assurance, security, customer support to bug fixing
• Additionally, you will work closely with experts to build domain knowledge and technical skills
• You will pioneer to learn and become an expert in the SAP BTP ABAP Environment, a cutting-edge Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering for ABAP Cloud Development
• You will develop new Fiori applications based on ABAP, JavaScript, Core Data Services (CDS) modelling, OData and other relevant technologies
• Working in a highly self-motivated and reliable manner and applying agile software development principles
• Step by step building broad and deep functional and business process knowledge in selected areas of the International Trade solution.

WHAT YOU BRING

Our ongoing expansion relies on the expertise of individuals who possess diverse skills, knowledge, and backgrounds. We are currently seeking a candidate who possesses the following skills:
 

• Very good Degree in Engineering / Computer science or equivalent subject   
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge about object-oriented design and programming  
• Ability to quickly learn new areas of knowledge

• Ability to work effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds in different locations
• Basic understanding of software development and its methodologies
• Knowledge of any programing language such NodeJS, Python and eager to learn ABAP
• Familiar with common tools for agile project planning and tracking, source code control and continuous integration (for example JIRA, Git, Jenkins)  … would be useful, however not mandatory at the beginning
• Goal-oriented team player with good communication skills
• Fluent in English. Proficiency in German is a plus

We are looking for fresh graduates or people at the beginning of their careers to work as associate application developer in one of our scrum teams. Accompanied by experienced colleagues and managers, you will be able to enrich your gained knowledge and start your professional career as Junior Developer, allowing you to pick up substantial knowledge about SAP´s product and processes.

During your first months, we offer you training courses geared to your individual knowledge and experience, a buddy program. Importantly, we don’t just expect you to learn from us – we want you to share your fresh insights and ideas actively with us as well.

MEET YOUR TEAM
The development is set up globally with teams in Brno, Walldorf (Germany) and Shanghai (China) working on SAP International Trade. A close cooperation between the teams is key and you will work in an international environment directly together with colleagues from other locations. We work in cross functional teams applying Scrum as well as methods of agile software development.
