Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Cloud Infrastructure Operations to lead our cloud infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, excellent leadership abilities, and a strong track record of managing large-scale cloud deployments. The Vice President (VP) of Cloud Infrastructure Operations is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the organization's cloud infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cloud infrastructure strategies that align with the organization's business goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of cloud engineers and architects responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of the organization's cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement cloud-based solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with cloud service providers and other third-party vendors.
  • Develop and manage the cloud infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective use of cloud resources.
  • Stay current with developments in cloud technologies and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvements.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
