Application Innovation Services (AIS) is a dynamic and growing development department within the SAP Product Engineering Group organization. AIS was founded in 2002.

The AIS organization has a current size of over 1400 developers worldwide. The focus area of AIS is Development Support and Continuous Innovation.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The AIS organization provides maintenance, development support and continuous improvement for all standard releases in general availability. Our primary objective is to ensure an efficient and performant operation of SAP software.  We take full responsibility for the code and we provide standard solutions to our customers’ inquiries.

We are looking for an engaged and dynamic developer with great communication skills to take ownership and provide maintenance and continuous innovation to WebClient UI, a framework used by various Business Suite and S/4HANA products. You will contribute to development tasks for the most recent, Fiori 3 based version of WebClient, On-Prem and Cloud platforms.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As part of a highly motivated and experienced team, your main focus will be on the success of SAP Customers. You will be working on customer and internal incidents, delivering new WEBCUIF features, and collaborating with Application teams using WebClient UI technology in their development projects. Amongst other things, this comprises:

• Ability to perform a detailed analysis of customer requests and produce solutions for problems and situations
• Using your technical skills and functional knowledge, participate in development and maintenance activities, while ensuring high quality and security in your area of responsibility
• Continually enhance your skills and seek new areas for personal development

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent
• 2-5 years of experience in software development
• Strong analytical skills
• Customer focus
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• French is a plus
• Working experience in maintenance and support is a plus

Technical Skills:

• Object-Oriented Programming
• JS, HTML, CSS
• Knowledge of ABAP, Fiori and SAPUI5 is a plus
• Knowledge of S/4HANA OP and Cloud development processes is a plus

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 60400 - 102700(CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
