What you'll do

 

As a working student for UX/UI design in our Strategic Frontrunner Projects Team you will work on innovative projects that emphasize the value proposition of the SAP Business Technology Platform. Advised by our senior designers, you will explore different design solutions, create storyboards, user flows, mockups and prototypes to visualize and share your ideas with the development team. You will also have the chance to directly interact with users to perform all necessary tasks from user research / user testing, experience mapping up to high fidelity UI designs and prototypes. Furthermore, you will support the team with the creation of compelling and understandable visualizations for technical presentations.

We are looking for a design student with a broad understanding of the UX and UI design process and the ability to join a software development project at every stage in the process to craft what is needed to deliver a great experience to users.

 

What you bring

 

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences in Interface Design, User Experience Design, Interaction Design or a related field
  • A design portfolio (online), showcasing UX as well as UI work

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Solid understanding of the design process and related methodologies: Design Thinking, User Research, Usability Testing, and Prototyping in all kinds of fidelities
  • Passion for translating complex problems into elegant and user-friendly solutions by following UX/UI Design principles
  • A great eye for detail, especially when it comes to UI and Visual Design
  • Experience in creating low and high-fidelity prototypes with design tools (e.g. Figma)
  • Experience in designing for AR/ VR applications is a plus
  • Experience in working with Data Visualizations is a plus

 

Language skills:

  • Fluent in German or English (written and spoken)

 

Soft skills:

  • Eager to learn about new technologies  
  • Hands-on, reliable and open-minded mentality
  • Strong team working skills 
  • Determined to reach a goal in time, to work independently and to prioritize tasks

 

Work Experience:

We are preferably looking for a working student with prior work experience as a student worker in a similar field or within your studies. We believe this can be an exciting opportunity for a motivated design student who wishes to gain more practical design experience.

Strategic Projects is a dynamic team at the heart of the 'Business Technology Platform (BTP) Foundation Engineering' unit. We focus on innovative solutions for cross-BTP topics, and enhancing BTP products and services. We prepare keynotes and provide expert insights for strategic BTP technology topics. Our team is sectioned into dedicated and functional focus areas, working collaboratively with other SAP teams to realize our mission.

 

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Additionally, your application has to include a strong design portfolio (online) full of examples.
