At Enterprise Analytics (EA), our goal is to facilitate data-driven decisions by any SAP employee. As the platform team, we are responsible for providing our engineering teams as well as citizen personas with user-centric technologies along the entire data value chain from modelling to consumption. 
In this role as the “Lead Developer for Data Product Governance”, you will be responsible for all development related activities that support us in realizing our ambitious goals of data democratization. This will range from hands-on development experience to collaborating with development colleagues on realizing technology concepts to manage metadata, workflows and data product governance-related innovations such as product recommendation, rules automation, etc. 

 

Key Areas will be to design & develop:

  • metadata acquisition frameworks from source systems to Collibra or other catalog technologies 
  • intelligent workflows in Collibra that elevate the enterprise-grade data product experience, e.g. automated authorization checks, data product provisioning
  • data product governance innovation as API-based extensions, e.g. knowledge graphs for increased search expereince

 

What you bring
Mandatory skills

  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently and possess a positive self-motivated “can-do” attitude
  • Motivation to work conceptually and constructively in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Qualifications in working with business and IT stakeholders as well as end-users
  • 3+ years’ experience in development area
  • Programming language and programming frameworks skills e.g. Java, Python, Scala, Springboot
  • Rest-API implementation knowledge

 
Good-To-have

  • Workflow Development (Groovy, Java)
  • Understanding data as a product, data platform logical layers and its life cycle
  • Collibra certifications and experience

We are functioning as the overarching data product experience plane by providing the central entry to find and consume data products across platforms at SAP.
